The On Wing Support Customer Order & Fulfillment Manager, based in London Heathrow site, will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of engine maintenance from initial job request through final billing. This site performs maintenance on GE/CFM commercial aircraft engines in the field and in shop. As such, this position will work across a wide variety of customers, GE Aviation facilities, and partners in many locations around the world. Positive working relationships with the team of technicians and customers through outstanding customer responsiveness is critical to the success of the business.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ The On Wing Support Customer Order & Fulfillment Manager manages the Planning organization on site including oversight of salaried, hourly, contractor, or purchased service personnel.
+ This person works in the Planning functional area, leads job quotation, resource and tooling allocation, team launch, and job execution through to final invoicing. GE On Wing Support is a 24 / 7 / 365 operation.
+ Applicants must be willing and able to support calls during off-hours when emergency situations arise.
**In addition, the Customer Order & Fulfillment Manager will:**
+ Maintain a safe physical & psychological environment including physical layout of work area and ergo considerations, ensure up to date training for personnel, drive & own investigations and read-across related to EHS, drive and owns EHS change management (MoC) for functional area, and ensure a culture of open reporting and continuous improvement of safety at the site.
+ Drive a proactive quality culture. Drive & own regular assessments and PFMEAs to identify and understand sources of defects and deliver process improvements that improve business outcomes. Drive closure on escapes, improve controls, and lead read-across to other sites. Maintain and enhance policy, procedure, and related documentation for functional area to describe standard work, best practices, and lessons learned. Demonstrate required knowledge of OWS Quality Procedures, as well as FAA/EASA Part 145 requirements and procedures. Act in accordance with the site's Repair Station and Quality Control Manual and other applicable regulation/bounds.
+ Act with humility during regular Gemba, coach others in the LEAN practices & principles, and apply problem solving skills to drive business outcomes. Determine customer value, map and understands the value stream, establish flow, and pull products/services through with a continuous improvement mindset targeting to deliver on time and at target cost. Drive accountability, planning, execution & LEAN continuous improvement in Customer facing activity for the site.
+ Develop and deliver site level Customer Communication rhythms, templates, processes. Regularly review inventory levels and drive strategic actions in coordination with Materials team. Review operations metrics reports and coordinate with customer to ensure customers' expectations are met.
+ Owns sales forecast and communication to broader team.
+ Establish controls & improve process for demand management and coordination of internal & external resources to meet customer demand.
+ Establish process for coordination and delivery of advanced technology and service offerings with the customer (internal or external).
+ Drives site compliance and process control / improvement in areas of immigration, Know Your Customer, T&L, Contract T&Cs, AR closure, job quoting, and invoicing. Establishes record retention processes for Planning organization, understands and supports audits, and coaches and trains team members in understanding compliance requirements.
+ Be accountable to Site Leader for all deliverables. Execute business-specific strategies-serve customers and win additional business
+ Develop and manage efficient and effective process for AOG/after hours Customer support. Ensure team delivers "all-hands on deck" support for AOGs (Aircraft On Ground) as they arise.
**Required Qualifications**
+ This role requires advanced experience in the Services & Customer Order and Fulfillment. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
+ Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required, including nights, weekends and holidays
+ Ability and willingness to support calls during off-hours when emergency situations arise

Job Summary:
We are seeking a contractor who is highly organised and scientifically experienced to support the relocation of researchers from their lab in Cambridge to EIT’s Generative Biology Institute (GBI) in Oxford. The role will be responsible for cataloguing, duplicating and validating critical biological constructs and samples. This role is ideal for a PhD-qualified scientist with a background in molecular biology and/or chemistry, who is comfortable working independently and has strong attention to detail. The role will involve both experimental and informatics work to ensure the accurate transfer and regeneration of valuable materials. We would expect this role to be based at the researchers’ current lab in Cambridge, with some work at EIT / GBI in Oxford, particularly towards the end of the 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the safe and coordinated transfer of all validated samples and inventory from the Cambridge laboratory to EIT / GBI in Oxford, ensuring accurate duplication of all samples and labelling, and ensuring integrity is maintained throughout.
- Review scientific literature and lab records to identify key DNA constructs and reagents required for ongoing and future work.
- Locate, retrieve, and catalogue constructs and samples stored in -80°C freezers and other storage units, ensuring accurate inventory and metadata capture.
- Validate constructs via sequencing, confirming integrity and identity against publications.
- Amplify and prepare working stocks of validated constructs, ensuring availability for immediate and future use.
- Duplicate and document all critical materials, maintaining mirrored stocks and detailed records to ensure traceability.
- Work closely with lab staff and research leads to prioritise key constructs and manage handover of validated materials.
- Maintain clear, well-structured digital inventories, using spreadsheets or sample management systems where applicable.
- Support the packing and transfer process, ensuring that all validated materials are safely and securely transported to GBI.
Requirements
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- PhD in Biology, Synthetic Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field, with hands-on experience in molecular cloning and DNA sequencing workflows.
- Strong familiarity with DNA construct design, primer design, and interpretation of sequencing data.
- Experience handling biological samples, managing cold storage inventories, and tracking reagents or plasmids.
- Familiarity with data input on a laboratory LIMs or ELN (preferably a cloud-based system).
- Experience impacting laboratory infrastructure through organisation.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills, with experience documenting lab work and maintaining sample databases.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

We are recruiting a procurement specialists, supply chain specialist, procurement specialist working in a fast-moving procurement environment for a global manufacturer offering autonomy and variety. This role reports to the Supply chain lead and will be integral working in a small team .
The procurement specialist supplychain specialist, key tasks are
- Working in a small procurement team with lots of variety and autonomy
- Implement strategies within the supply chain to meet the overall business objectives
- Ensure Key Suppliers are audited using the appropriate scoring system in line with regulatory requirements and KPI's are monitored
- Responsible for achieving targeted site savings and other purchasing projects
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and sub-contractors to secure favourable pricing and terms.
- Provide direction on key areas of Purchasing, including leading negotiations where appropriate and/or involvement in critical supply situations.
- Buying raw materials e.g. Stainless steel, tooling and site consumables
- Communicate and maintain close working relationship with the companies UK and global supply teams
- Take responsibility for Supplier relationship management to develop effective long term partnerships, including communicating forecasts.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost and delivery speed.
- Monitor supplier performance, site visits in the Uk and possibly once a year to Europe and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Work with the company ERP system (training provided).
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, orders, and vendor communications.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders applications engineers, production to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
The procurement specialist, supply chain specialist requirements
- Previous experience in supply chain and procurement roles within manufacturing or production environments.
- Any formal qualifications i.e. CIPS or equivalent qualifications are preferred however extensive expertise gained in a similar types of roles and environments may be considered.
- This role would suit candidates with experience utilising CRM, MRP or ERP systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required to liaise internally with
colleagues and externally with suppliers.
- There will be the opportunity for supplier visits, supplier selection and other projects so some travel in the UK is occasionally required.
