In this Data Scientist role you will use GenAI and related techniques to design, evangelize, implement and scale cutting-edge solutions for never-before-solved problems.
Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with AI/ML scientists, engineers, and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate cutting-edge generative AI algorithms and ML systems addressing real-world challenges.
Interact with customers directly to understand business problems, aid in the implementation of generative AI solutions, deliver briefings and deep-dive sessions, and guide adoption patterns toward production.
Create and deliver best-practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, publications, sample code, and presentations tailored to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help define product direction.

QualificationsnBasic Qualifications
5+ years of data science experience and 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).
3+ years of experience with machine learning/statistical modeling, data analysis tools, and performance-influencing parameters.
Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, computer science).
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science).
5+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling experience and related techniques.
Hands-on experience with deep learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer).
Prior experience in training and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) and knowledge of AWS platform and tools.

You will join us on part time, permanent basis. In return, we will offer a competitive salary pro rata of £25,582 – £5,683 per annum (i.e. 5,349.20 - 5,409.80).
The Instructor/Technician in Creative Industries role:
Do you have a background in Creative and Performing Arts and are looking for that ideal part time role that fits around your other responsibilities?
Chichester College is seeking to appoint an Instructor/Technician to support the delivery of learning opportunities for students on various Dance, Drama and costume courses within the Performing Arts department.
As our Instructor/Technician, you will help support the building of props and sets for our productions held in our on-site theatre and various local venues. Recent productions include ‘Edelweiss Pirates’, ‘The Table’ and ‘Sister Act’ which were all very well received and watched by many members of the local community. You could be assisting with building anything from a jungle to a castle.
Key Responsibilities of our Instructor/Technician in Creative Industries:
- Undertaking administration related to course requirements and provide reports and statistics as required li>Liaising with Additional Support in specific cases to ensure students get appropriate support li>Participating in curriculum area, College, employer/parent functions, reviews, meetings and promotional activities, as required li>Organising daily activities within the learning environment, including the preparation and maintainance of resources, services and housekeeping li>Providing assistance to individuals or groups of students within the learning environment li>Implementing and maintaining the regulations of the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health legislation, including the reviews of health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace and undertake risk assessments
- Participating in course review activities and the generation and implementation of new resources and action plans li>Monitoring and maintaining equipment and prepare replacement plans
Our ideal Instructor/Technician in Creative Industries should have the following skills and experience:
- Level 2 qualification in the relevant subject area
- Relevant industrial/subject experience
- Knowledge of Theatre equipment li>Competency in using the relevant tools/equipment
- The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
