  • Ensure robust reporting of your day-to-day activities are in place and updated on a regular basis this includes but not limited to on-site logbooks and the CAFM system.
  • Take part in regular housekeeping of site storage areas and actions implemented to keep within H&S guidelines

Qualification, Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:
  • Full driving licence
  • Formal Apprenticeship and formal trade qualifications in a technical field (Electrical Bias preferred)
  • At least 3 years post Apprenticeship experience
  • Technical problem-solving abilities
  • Experience of large-scale mechanical and electrical plant associated with a modern large scale office space including but not limited to:
    • HVAC Plant
    • UPS Systems
    • LTHW & Chilled Water Systems
    • Low Voltage Distribution networks
    • Building Management Systems
    • Control Legionella in water systems (L8)
    • Building Statutory Requirements
  • Experience of working within planned maintenance schemes
  • The ability to react and work within a team to resolve unforeseen breakdowns in a positive manner
  • Technical knowledge of working within an FM environment
  • The ability to work unsupervised.
  • Be prepared to undertake mandatory and additional skills training

Desirable:
  • Formal H&S training & qualifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills, written and oral, and ability to liaise with personnel at all levels
  • Experience in:
    • Team participation skills
    • Liaising with client employee’s and their representatives
    • Ability to work within a diverse, dynamic & high achieving team
    • Customer and client facing experience

Role Summary:
  • React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA’s.
  • Ensure routine maintenance is carried out to a high standard.
  • Test and diagnose power quality issues.
  • Emergency light testing.
  • Fire alarm testing.
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings / instructions / processes & O&M’s.
  • Undertake upgrade & install work.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors as required for repairs & ensure works have been carried out in line with CBRE policies.
  • Fault finding on all types of HVAC equipment with a bias to the maintenance of Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems
  • Determine the root cause and action items required to restore availability and prevent a recurrence.
  • Accurately maintain site work logs & paperwork.
  • Other duties as and when required.


This is a mobile position between Kendal & Greenodd.

Hours
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8am – 5pm with flexibility
  • On-Call schedule available


Qualifications & Experience
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
  • Experience with maintenance / repair of AHUs
  • Experience working with building management systems including fault finding and operator use
  • FM experience advantageous

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer / Coordinator to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of their facility’s maintenance and development, ensuring they operate smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of the site’s buildings, plant machinery, and infrastructure. Hands on role, CNC & manual machine breakdowns & repairs, and electrical fault finding.
  • Ensure all building systems (power, lighting, security, etc.) are functional and regularly serviced.
  • Manage security, groundskeeping, and maintenance services.
  • Undertake in-house maintenance and co-ordinate external contractors.
  • Ensure the site is safe, clean, and fully operational to support production and business functions.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas of improvement and potential safety or maintenance issues.
  • Manage access control, parking, and building entry protocols.
  • Oversee HSE compliance on site & feedback to HSE Manager.
  • Ensure the site complies with all relevant health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain and update risk assessments and emergency response plans.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or efficiency.
  • Maintain asset and service records in compliance with ISO standards.
  • Minimize downtime due to facility-related issues through proactive maintenance planning 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in facilities management or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to oversee contractors and coordinate in-house maintenance effectively.
  • Proficient in conducting site inspections and compiling reports.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
