Microsoft Project Manager (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - West Malling (2-3 days onsite per week)
Rate: 625 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Type: Contract - Initial 6 months
We are working with a leading organisation undergoing a major digital transformation programme and seeking an experienced Microsoft Project Manager to lead the delivery of key technology components.
This is a high-impact role, working closely with internal teams and external delivery partners to successfully deliver Azure migrations, M365 tenant migrations, Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations, and associated data migrations.
Key Responsibilities for the Microsoft Project Manager:
- Deliver end-to-end technical projects within an Agile environment, ensuring solutions meet user needs and align with organisational standards.
- Lead the planning and execution of Azure cloud migrations, Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, and Dynamics 365 (CRM/CE) implementations.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, coordinating internal resources and 3rd party vendors to ensure successful delivery.
- Maintain control of project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets on behalf of the project sponsor.
- Own the documentation process - from planning through to transition into BAU support - ensuring clear handovers to operational teams.
- Ensure appropriate governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication is in place and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with delivery partners and technical stakeholders.
Essential Experience for the Microsoft Project Manager:
- Proven track record delivering Azure cloud migrations and Microsoft 365 tenant migrations.
- Hands-on experience managing the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE or CRM) and data migration projects.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, architecture, and modern workplace tools.
- Demonstrable experience leading technical projects in a structured delivery environment (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
- Exceptional communication skills - able to influence, engage, and simplify complex technical information for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and managing multi-disciplinary teams without direct line responsibility.

Are you an experienced M365 Consultant with a strong grasp of Teams and SharePoint? We're supporting a public sector organisation on a major initiative to enhance their use of the Microsoft 365 stack, and we're looking to speak with specialists who can help shape and deliver that vision.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a blend of strategic input and hands-on delivery - helping to scope, design, and implement solutions that will drive real-world adoption of M365 services across diverse teams.
This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract that will require hybrid working (approximately 2 / 3 days a week in Gloucester).
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, guiding best practice use across the organisation
- Supporting the rollout of M365 features in line with a national blueprint (including Windows 10/11 integration)
- Leading or contributing to pilot initiatives - working closely with departments to land successful M365 use cases and scale them across the business
- Designing and configuring Teams and SharePoint sites - including governance, structure, and user experience
- Supporting process design and training material to improve user adoption
- Working with internal teams to identify pain points and recommend practical, scalable solutions
- Supporting light automation or integration through tools like Power Automate and Power Apps
- Offering input into a potential managed service model - including how SLA-based support could be structured
What we're looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint (configuration, rollout, governance)
- Solid understanding of the wider M365 ecosystem - Power Platform exposure is a plus
- Experience engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and shape solutions
- Ability to blend technical know-how with a user-focused mindset
- Previous experience working in a public sector or complex organisational environment is beneficial
