Job Description
Our client is seeking dedicated and reliable Remote Delivery Drivers to join their expanding network, focusing on providing efficient and timely package and courier services across various regions. This is a fully remote, independent contractor role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to manage your own schedule. As a Remote Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods from pickup points to designated delivery destinations. You will be the face of our service to the customer, ensuring a positive delivery experience.

- Accept delivery assignments via a mobile application, planning the most efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Safely load, transport, and unload packages and parcels, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery, interacting professionally with recipients.
- Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or confirmation from recipients.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operation.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of your assigned vehicle.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered.
- Utilize navigation tools and delivery apps to track routes and confirm delivery completion.
- Manage cash or payment collections if required for specific deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and any associated expenses.
- A valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.
- A reliable vehicle suitable for delivery purposes (e.g., van, car - specifications may vary based on region and assignment).
- Proof of appropriate vehicle insurance (business use/hire and reward).
- Access to a smartphone with a stable internet connection for using the dispatch application.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong knowledge of local road networks and navigation.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages, sometimes weighing up to 25kg.
- Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in the UK.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, based on delivery demand.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
