Your future role
The Painting Specialist is responsible for carrying out corrective paint and vinyl wrap repairs in line with depot requirements. As part of the maintenance team, they will ensure the equipment is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner whilst constantly seeking to improve quality.
We'll look to you for:
Maintenance
- Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Team Leaders and Production Management Team in order to:-
- Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current applicable standards.
- Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification.
- Understand and follow work instructions, Standard Operating Sheets and Task Sequencing.
- Apply Special Processes.
- Support secondary level fault finding as and when required.
- Use work related IT Systems as required including MMIS/SES to record progress of operations and status of issues.
Reporting
- Accurately report status of operations, complete Work Checklists and Work Orders with the required level of detail including completion time.
Continuous Improvement
- Make suggestions and recommendations for productivity improvements working with the team leaders and Industrial Team.
- Maintain 5S good housekeeping of all related work areas in accordance with set standards.
Training/Agility
- Be capable of accepting training in other skills and carry out duties, e.g. forklift MWEP, road vehicle driving (if certified).
- Be capable of being re-trained in other activities/skills as required by the Production Management Team in order to support the Operations as required.
EHS
- Understand and abide to safety notices, rules and regulations and follow safe working practices compliant with local standards.
- Comply with all EHS protection and AZDP measures.

Main Responsibilities
Preparation of work areas, applying primers, undercoats, and final finishes, mixing and matching paint, and ensuring a tidy workspace.
Applying paint and other finishes to walls, ceilings and other surfaces
Calculating materials required and measuring the work area to complete the work
