What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out inspections across electrical, electronic, optical and mechanical parts, from goods-in to final assembly
li>Using a range of inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers and gauges to ensure components meet tight tolerances
• Correctly quarantining and recording any defective or rejected products
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and assisting with defect investigations and reports
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and making recommendations for process enhancements
• Calibrating and maintaining inspection equipment as required
• Working to strict confidentiality standards in line with industry requirements

What we’re looking for:

< i>Previous experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment working to tight tolerances
• Strong knowledge of inspection methods, including the ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T
• Confident in using standard inspection equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges) – CMM experience desirable
< i>Good understanding of electro-mechanical equipment, both theory and operation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive, ‘can-do’ approach with a focus on accuracy and solutions
