Please note that this is a part-time role (working between 15 and 22.5 hours per week). We also ask for minimum of 1 day per week based onsite in our Cambridge office. Working days and hours are open to discussion, but will be agreed on a regular, fixed schedule.
What you'll be doingIn this role, you'll work closely with and report to our Marketing Manager, ensuring content across digital platforms not only reaches our audience but resonates with them. Our aim is to drive engagement, build our brand presence and meet our overarching marketing objectives.
- Oversee the content calendar, ensuring all outputs align with our brand's tone of voice and guidelines.
- Develop diverse written and visual content, including explainers, video segments, guides, infographics, short-form posts, and more, utilising design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Stay updated with industry-relevant topics to ensure our content remains relevant.
- Work with other departments to source insights or stories that resonate with our audiences.
Social Media Management
- Writing draft posts for LinkedIn and X, aligning to our social media plan and ensuring posts are consistent and reflect our brand's values.
- Engaging with our audience by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions to foster a sense of community and trust.
- Monitoring trends, adapting our approach to leverage popular themes or discussions.
- Design, test, and deploy email campaigns that capture the attention of our segmented audience, all while adhering to our brand's guidelines.
- Produce compelling email content, including copy, graphics, and other media.
- Ensure our database is up to date after events or lead campaigns.
- Monitor key metrics of email campaigns, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and bounce rates.
Events and other
- Analyse content performance metrics, delivering monthly reports and identifying potential areas of improvement.
- Support a range of marketing-related tasks or projects as the need arises.
- Support with the production or liaison of overall marketing activities and the company events.
- Work alongside other team members to create and execute an internal communications plan.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and marketing software, e.g., LinkedIn, X, Sproutsocial, Crowdfire, HubSpot.
- Ability to monitor content performance metrics and generate monthly reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for informed decisions.
- Aptitude to suggest improvements based on content performance data.
- Some experience with graphic design and video editing.
- Strong attention to detail with an exceptional ability to manage tasks meticulously.
- Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team including cross functionally with non-marketing experts.
Desirable skills and experience (not required, but beneficial):
- Graphic design and video editing skills, with proficiency in Adobe Suite.
- Ideally, you have a scientific or engineering background, and/or experience working within the Tech, Deeptech or Quantum Computing industries.
- Experience in crafting consistent and brand-aligned content, including videos for social media platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes in Sage 50, across multiple currencies
- Matching purchase orders and invoices for approval and payment
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Managing credit card transactions and employee expense claims
- Allocating costs to projects and codes - project accounting is central to this role
- Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS and international)
- Supporting month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting
- Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to keep everything on track
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel
- Familiarity with job costing and project-based accounting
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset
- Great communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Understanding of VAT rules and HMRC compliance

- AAT qualification (or working towards it)
