Role Responsibilities


Business Development & Strategic Growth

  • Identify, track, and qualify new NHS and private sector commissioning opportunities aligned with RTN’s service offer.
  • Proactively research and develop new procurement routes, including ICB partnerships, DPS frameworks, and pilot models.
  • Maintain a live pipeline of tenders and opportunities, ensuring RTN is well-positioned for the most relevant bids.


Bid Management & Tender Writing

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle including scoping, writing, coordinating, editing, and submitting tenders.
  • Produce compelling, high-scoring, and compliant submissions, with particular focus on NHS tenders.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and governance teams to create accurate and persuasive responses.


Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build and sustain strong commissioner relationships, networks, and partnerships within the NHS and wider public sector.

About You


Essential

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience writing and managing successful NHS tenders, with strong evidence of high-quality bid outcomes.
  • Proven track record of identifying new opportunities, building pipelines, and creating networks across the public sector.
  • Experience working directly with NHS commissioners, procurement teams, or ICBs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder bid processes from end to end.
  • Strong understanding of NHS procurement platforms (e.g. Atamis, Proactis, Contracts Finder).
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive and compliant bids.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, workstreams, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
