An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Family Law Partner to lead and develop an international family law practice within a highly regarded, full-service firm based in Central London. This is a rare and strategic opening for a Family Law Partner with a strong international profile to work closely with the Head of Department, building upon a well-established foundation to grow and shape the team's global reach.
As a senior Family Law Partner , you will be instrumental in developing the international family law offering, with a particular focus on complex matters for HNW and UHNW clients. This position requires an individual with gravitas, technical expertise and the ability to lead both operationally and strategically. The successful Family Law Partner will be joining a practice known for its client-focused approach and will benefit from the support of an experienced team and a firm-wide commitment to excellence.
The Family Law Partner's role
The Family Law Partner will take the lead in building and managing a dedicated team advising on international family law issues. These may include cross-border jurisdictional disputes, high-value financial settlements, prenuptial agreements and complex child arrangements. You will be responsible for supervising junior solicitors and ensuring that client service remains of the highest standard.
Business development will form a key part of the role, with expectations to maintain and expand a network of international referrers, engage with global clients, and represent the firm at relevant events. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to meet departmental goals in line with the firm's wider values.
The Family Law Partner
Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years' PQE, ideally already operating at partner or senior associate level.
Extensive experience advising HNW/UHNW clients on complex international family law matters.
Demonstrable leadership capability, with prior experience of mentoring or supervising others.
Strong existing network of international contacts and a proven track record in business development.
Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
Willingness to travel internationally when required.
In Return?
Salary in the region of 140,000 - 180,000 DOE.
Discretionary bonus scheme.
26 days annual leave plus public holidays.
