We are currently recruiting for a Paver to join our civil engineering and highways contractor on an ongoing project in Stockport . This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to work on a long-term project.

Paver Job Details:

• Location: Stockport
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Ongoing
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
• Rate: Competitive, depending on experience

Paver Key Responsibilities:

• Lay paving sets according to project specifications and designs
• Prepare the ground by excavating and levelling surfaces to create a stable foundation
• Mix and apply mortar or adhesive for secure placement of paving materials
• Ensure correct alignment and spacing of pavers and slabs during installation
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on existing paved surfaces as needed
• Collaborate with other trades on site, including masons, carpenters, and roofers, to ensure efficient project delivery
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations

Paver    Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience using hand and power tools relevant to paving and groundwork
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods
• Previous experience in paving is advantageous but not essential

Additional Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card
• Own tools and PPE
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team

Our Client a civil engineering and groundworks contractor are currently looking for 3x Pavers to assist on a job in Milton Keynes.

The ideal candidate will have undertook similar work and be able to provide work references from recent jobs.

Duties include

• Laying slabs on pedestals
• Laying Slabs on Rail systems
• Laying porcelain Slabs
• All other associated tasks

Working Hours 8am-1pm with Saturdays Available.

We are seeking an experienced Block Paver with their own tools to start ASAP on a site in Liverpool City Centre, doing block paving and flagging to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

• Prepared ground surfaces, including excavation, leveling, and compacting, to ensure a stable base for paving.
• Laid block paving for driveways, footpaths, patios, and public spaces, following design plans and specifications.
• Installed edging, kerbs, and drainage systems to ensure durability and proper water flow.
• Cut and shaped paving blocks to fit around obstacles and create neat, professional finishes.
• Used tools such as vibrating plate compactors, saws, and screeding bars to complete high-quality installations.
• Carried out repairs and maintenance on existing paved surfaces, including lifting and relaying blocks.
• Maintained a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Worked independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Driving License- preferred but not essential
• Must be able to provide references
• Own Tools and PPE
• Ability to work efficiently and follow health and safety guidelines.
