Established in 1996, this company specialises in PCB layout design, supplying into the Marine, Civil and Oil & Gas industries for load monitoring and flow assurance products. They are looking for an electronics engineer to help them increase their turnover, along with continuing to improve and redesign their products.
In this role, you will be designing PCB layouts, along with reading PCB schematic drawings in order to fault find on existing products. This role also involves occasional visits to clients and other company sites, therefore a driving license is required. The standard working hours are 09:00-16:45 Monday-Friday, however there is also the option to work 08:00-16:45 Monday-Thursday and 08:00-12:00 on Friday.

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior PCB Engineer on behalf of our client, focusing on the design and layout of printed circuit boards for power supply applications. You will play a key role in the development of compact, high-efficiency AC/DC and DC/DC converters, supporting the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout multi-layer PCBs for power supply circuits, including AC/DC, DC/DC, and isolated/non-isolated topologies.
- Collaborate with power electronics, mechanical, and thermal engineers to optimise PCB layout for electrical performance, thermal management, and manufacturability.
- Generate fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerbers, BOMs, pick-and-place files, etc.).
- Perform design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to ensure compliance with manufacturing and safety standards.
- Implement creepage and clearance guidelines in accordance with relevant safety standards (IEC, UL).
- Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve DFM/DFT issues.
- Assist in prototype bring-up, testing, and validation.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in PCB layout for power electronics, ideally in high-voltage and high-current designs.

We are looking for experienced Hardware Engineers to develop a high-speed network interface card, collaborating with electrical, RF, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration in an exciting, ambitious environment.
Your responsibilities will include leading the design and integration of transceiver module across photonic design, Network FPGA and hardware.
Collaborating with electrical, RF, mechanical, and software teams you will ensure seamless system integration.
In addition, you will develop and execute test plans for hardware validation, integration and verification. Plus troubleshoot and resolve hardware integration issues at the board and system level.
You will work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners for hardware bring-up and production support.
You will perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis, and support EMC/EMI testing and compliance efforts.
Participating in design reviews you will provide feedback on hardware architecture and layout.
Experience:
As the successful Hardware Design Engineer, you should have experience in hardware integration, preferably within RF/photonics/optics systems, plus a strong understanding of RF fundamentals, signal processing and efficient power supplies
A sound knowledge of EMC implications of hard speed transmission, plus scripting and automation, such as TCL and Python.
A knowledge of thermal and mechanical considerations in hardware design is also required.
Ideally you will also have experience with lab equipment, such as; spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, VNAs, and signal generators; have proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence); and a familiarity with embedded systems and firmware debugging.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or other relevant fields or experience within the industry.
