Due to the introduction of new products and increases in demand, the Manufacturing Engineering team are seeking three project support technicians to support with several NPI and continuous improvement projects on a 12-month (min) secondment basis.
Working with the Manufacturing Engineers and project team members, the project support technician will play a key role with the implementation of new processes across site introducing new layouts, machinery, tooling and documentation.

**Job Responsibilities and Duties:**
· Support new process standard work introduction.
· Provide new tooling support to the lines: assembly, machining or test.
· Implement and utilise Caterpillar CPS principles of 5s, waste elimination, standard work and lean manufacturing to setup new work areas.
· Benching marking of existing processes conducting time and motion studies.
· Utilise computer systems such as MS Office, MS Visio and MS Project to documentation and analyse data.
· Contribute to weekly team meetings, using past experiences and product knowledge to make key contributions.
**Skills and Experience:**

· Knowledge of machining, assembly, test, logistics or support processes at Caterpillar Shrewsbury.
