**Examiner - Global Citizenship (Pearson Edexcel iPrimary)**
**Overview:**
Pearson is seeking experienced and qualified educators to join our team as examiners for the Global Citizenship component of the Pearson Edexcel iPrimary curriculum. This programme draws on best teaching practices and provides progressive support for students, preparing them for further study in a wide range of subjects.
Global Citizenship explores the exercise of rights, responsibilities, and values in an interconnected world. Students engage with key themes including Social Justice, Identity and Diversity, Globalisation and Interdependence, Peace and Conflict, Human Rights, Power and Governance, and Sustainable Development.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Mark student responses accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards.
+ Apply the mark scheme with a high level of subject knowledge and fairness.
+ Submit sample scripts to your Team Leader at designated checkpoints.
+ Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
+ Complete all required administrative tasks as specified.
**Experience and Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of one academic year's teaching experience as a qualified teacher within the last eight years.
+ For iPrimary: experience must be at higher primary level.
+ For iLowerSecondary: experience must be at Key Stage 3 or 4.
+ Teaching experience must be in the subject relevant to the vacancy.
+ A degree or equivalent qualification.
+ Qualified teacher status.

Hybrid - London 2 days a week

In this role you will create the content for a wide range of interesting activities including lessons, interactive film scripts, animation and quizzes, covering everything from science and history to art and current affairs.

The Role

  • Research and develop engaging, age-appropriate content across multiple subjects
  • Write scripts, articles, and activities that make complex ideas simple and exciting
  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and educators to produce standout materials
  • Adapt tone and style for different age groups and formats
  • Keep content fresh, relevant, and aligned with curriculum needs


The Person

  • Creative storytellers with a flair for making learning fun
  • Skilled writers and editors with an eye for detail
  • Quick, accurate researchers across a wide range of topics
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Collaborative team players who are happy to pitch in wherever needed
  • Experienced in education, media, journalism, or similar content roles (desirable)
