37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time)

£30,138 per annum pro rata, £26,587 per annum actual

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team at City College Norwich (Ipswich Road) as a Personal Development Coach. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is seeking to provide pastoral and Personal Development support to our students.


The ideal candidate will be able to provide personal development classes and tutorial support for Hospitality, catering and Tourism students, as a group and on an individual basis.


You will be required to plan and deliver group sessions to support the delivery of the personal development framework which builds upon personal development, behaviour and attitudes of our students. You will also hold 1-1 sessions with students focussed around their progress on the programme of study, set targets and undertake action planning etc.


You will work closely with other Personal Development Coaches to provide a consistent approach whilst also liaising closely with teaching staff to ensure you have access to all relevant information required to make tutorials meaningful and have impact on students performance.


Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification and/or recent relevant vocational experience.

Role Overview

The Personal Development and Inclusion Lead will champion and embed a culture of personal development, inclusivity, and belonging across Apprentify’s curriculum. This role ensures that every learner, regardless of background or identity, has access to high-quality learning, develops the knowledge, skills, and values needed to thrive in modern Britain, and feels safe, valued, and supported.

The post holder will work collaboratively with curriculum and delivery teams to embed inclusive pedagogy, personal development themes (including safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values), and learner voice into everyday teaching and learning. They will also design and deliver CPD for staff, ensuring colleagues feel confident and equipped to support learners in an inclusive and impactful way.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Champion a whole-organisation approach to personal development and inclusion within Apprentify, and where required, across the wider Group.
  • Lead the development of a shared understanding of inclusion, ensuring it is recognised as a collective responsibility across all roles and departments.
  • Drive a culture where all learners feel safe, welcomed, and supported.

Curriculum & Teaching Support

  • Partner with the Teaching and Learning Lead to embed inclusive practices, safeguarding themes, and British Values into curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Ensure personal development and inclusion themes are integrated into everyday teaching, not as standalone content.
  • Contribute to internal and external quality reviews, focusing on personal development, learner welfare, and inclusive practice.

Staff Development:

  • Design and deliver CPD sessions to strengthen staff confidence in embedding inclusion, safeguarding, and personal development themes.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date training resources reflecting statutory guidance, Ofsted expectations, and sector best practice.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to staff on inclusive pedagogy and learner engagement.

Learner Voice & Impact:

  • Capture and use learner feedback and data to evaluate the impact of personal development and inclusion strategies.
  • Promote learner participation in shaping inclusive practices and personal development opportunities.
  • Ensure learners understand their rights, responsibilities, and opportunities in modern Britain.

Collaboration & Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to ensure safeguarding themes are embedded in curriculum, while maintaining clear boundaries around case management.
  • Contribute to Apprentify’s Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) in relation to personal development and inclusion.
  • Stay up to date with statutory requirements and inspection frameworks, ensuring Apprentify exceeds compliance expectations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in safeguarding, education, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of statutory guidance related to safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values

Summary

Looking to take your first step in education? We are looking for a dedicated and detail-orientated individual to join Harris Academy Morden as Receptionist and Personal Development Administrator. Working under the instruction and guidance of senior staff to provide general administrative and financial support to the school, you will either have experience in an administrative role or looking to take your first step in an administrative support role within an educational environment.


Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing the Academy in a professional and welcoming manner to all visitors, staff and students, including telephone callers
  • Undertaking reception duties, answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
  • Completing first day of absence calling for all students who are absent, recording reasons on Bromcom, recording calls in attendance events, checking directly with AWO if there are any concerns
  • Assisting with pupil first aid/welfare duties
  • Assisting in arrangements for school trips and events
  • Providing general clerical/admin support
  • Maintaining manual and computerised records
  • Producing lists, information and data as required
  • Typing, word processing and other IT based tasks
  • Sorting and distributing mail
  • Ensuring reprographics requests are fulfilled on time
  • Operating relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. word, excel, databases, spreadsheets, internet)
  • Maintaining stock and supplies, cataloguing and distributing as required
  • Assisting in ordering uniform
  • Providing general advice and guidance to staff, pupils and others
  • Undertaking general financial administration e.g. processing orders
Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • NVQ2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline
  • Good numeracy/literacy skills
  • Minimum of two years' school office experience
  • Experience of general clerical/administrative/financial work
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for young people
  • Experience of Reception duties including dealing with visitors to the Academy
