  • Working within GMP Cleanroom environments, you will set up and operate various processes for which you will receive full Production Operator training. These roles work on a Double Day Shift Pattern.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assemble raw materials for batches in accordance with received Batch Documentation
  • Working to a production plan deliver batches
  • Transfer raw materials for production
  • Label all batches in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure all materials and components are replenished in preparation for start-up on the next shift
  • Carry out documentation duties required under good manufacturing practice.

Technician - Rolling Stock (Trains)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: North London

Pay Rates:

Umbrella -

115% Shift rate of 23.49 per hour for the first 4 weeks (Day shifts), this then increases to 130% shift rate of 26.56 per hour.

PAYE -

115% shift rate of 18.86 per hour for the first 4 weeks (Day shifts), this then increases to 130% shift rate of 21.32 per hour.

Shift pattern: Days initially (4 weeks) then a Combination of Days and Lates, Nights TBC.

Description:

  • With minimal supervision undertake Production, Modifications and Repair of the allocated wheelsets/rolling stock components adhering to the requisite processes and procedures.
  • Assist other team members with the Production duties in order to develop technical skills.
  • Working as part of the Production Engineering team, this role involves mechanical Production Duties.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering or process environment
  • Experience of basic fault finding
  • Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures
  • Ability to understand and care for tools, equipment and PPE
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio hazards, manual handling and Control of
  • Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Ability to understand and interpret relevant technical publications
  • Ability to produce detailed complex, analytical technical reports

Full-Time Permanent Based on the Erith/Belvedere Border

About the Role:

This is a varied and physical role in a fast-paced factory environment.

Key duties include:

  • Yard work and general site tasks
  • Operating advanced cylinder processing and filling machinery
  • Conducting inspections and using in-house paint spraying equipment
  • Safely handling and moving large fire suppression cylinders (approx. 5ft tall and 20kg+)
  • Loading/unloading cylinders and transporting via trolleys or forklift (training provided)

Essential Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with tools or machinery (in a workplace, education, or hobby setting)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 2 shifts available, earlies and lates (extra 20% shift allowance for late shift)
