You will be responsible for managing all project phases, including feasibility studies, site assessments, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final client sign-off. This position requires a deep understanding of solar PV technology, project management methodologies, and regulatory frameworks within the energy industry. You will liaise extensively with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) as well as external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, is essential. You will proactively identify and mitigate project risks, manage change orders, and ensure all contractual obligations are met. This is a fully remote role, demanding exceptional organisational skills, self-discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment. Candidates must be comfortable working autonomously and demonstrating strong leadership qualities from a distance. If you are passionate about driving the transition to clean energy and have a proven track record in managing complex renewable energy projects, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end management of solar PV projects from development to commissioning.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Oversee site selection, feasibility studies, and design processes.
  • Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction and installation phases.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project finances, including cost control and financial reporting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure successful project handover and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, specifically solar PV.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV technology, system design, and installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience with contract negotiation, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Excellent risk management and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote-first environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Chartered Engineer status or PMP certification is highly desirable.
