Location: Chorley, Great Bear
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00 Shifts Available
Pay rate: £12.21 P/hr
Position: Warehouse Operative
As a Warehouse Operative for Logistics People your role will consist of various duties including but not limited to:
- Picking and packing orders in preparation for shipping.
- Loading & Unloading pallets and stock across the warehouse.
- Loading, unloading and shrink-wrapping pallets of stock.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including sweeping and disposing of debris.
- Handling stock respectfully, with a high attention to detail.
- Heavy lifting Involved.
- Assisting with other duties as assigned by management.
- Participating in any required training sessions to enhance job knowledge and skills.

* Continuously monitor the production process to ensure product quality and consistency. Make necessary adjustments to machinery to maintain optimal performance
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery
* Consistently quality checking products to ensure there are no defects to ensure that it meets quality standards.
* Maintain accurate production logs and records
* Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth operation and a consistent workflow.
* Efficiently operating machinery used in the converting process to produce high quality products.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* Previous experience in operating / setting machinery
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ideally would have worked in the paper industry or a BRC accredited factory
* A positive attitude towards learning and development
Will be working rotating shifts Monday to Friday
Mornings 6am to 2pm
Afternoons 2pm to 10pm
Nights 10pm to 6am
Initially starting on day shifts
28,000 per annum plus shift allowance
26 days holiday plus bank holidays

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm completing training.
Once trained the shifts can then be rotated between:
6am-2pm Monday-Friday | 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday

Job Description:
General: Reporting to Shift Supervisor
You will be required to train and operate modern Automated PLC Driven Plastic Moulding Machines within a busy production environment.
Carry out all quality control inspections as laid down in the company quality inspection manual, reporting any deviations to the Shift Supervisor or QA Manager.
Undertaking the corrective actions deemed necessary when goods fall outside the laid down specification by rejecting or quarantining production.
To ensure all operators are undertaking the required visual checks on all products to ensure optimum quality standards, and they are correctly recording and labeling goods.
To complete all relevant paperwork applicable to the process/inspection or reports.For example pallet tickets, production log sheets, quality inspection result sheets etc.
Participate in all ongoing training plans.
