  • Oversee the installation and commissioning phases of electrical systems, ensuring timely and safe execution.
  • Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for existing operational wind farms.
  • Conduct performance analysis and recommend improvements to optimize electrical system efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage electrical engineering project budgets and schedules, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to timelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and site personnel.
  • Liaise with grid operators and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless grid integration and compliance.
  • Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in offshore wind electrical engineering.
  • Ensure all electrical designs and installations adhere to stringent health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years focused on the renewable energy sector, specifically offshore wind.
  • Proven experience with high-voltage (HV) systems (e.g., 66kV, 132kV and above), grid code compliance, and AC/DC power systems.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of SCADA and control systems for power generation.
  • Experience with power quality analysis and mitigation techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel offshore as required.
