We are seeking a dedicated Placement Officer on behalf of one of our clients in Durham on a temporary basis, supporting their Children's Services team.
As a Placement Officer, you will play a key role in identifying and securing safe, appropriate placements for children and young people in the care of the Local Authority. You will be responsible for assisting with the search, identification, and placement process into a variety of care and support settings, including:
- Children's homes
- Foster care
- Supported accommodation
- Supported lodgings
This is a rewarding position where you will work closely with care providers, foster carers, and council staff to ensure that each child or young person is placed in the most suitable environment to meet their individual needs.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and experience in a relevant field (e.g. children's services, social care, housing, or support work).
