Ensure equipment is serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations and that all associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner including recording customer signatures. Education and Experience
Either direct experience (around 3 years) or working in a related engineering function, e.g. car mechanic, HGV fitter, Agricultural Engineer former REME or experience on military vehicles such as recovery mechanic or a formal apprenticeship qualification that includes at least C&G level 1, formal training in health & Safety desirable but not essential as further training will be given.

The Role

- Conduct pipework repairs, including crimping, soldering, and plastic welding when necessary.
The Person
- Strong communication skills.

- NVQ Level 2-3 or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Experience liaising with third parties, including contractors and clients.
- Willingness to travel within the South East and respond to occasional callouts.

Plant Maintenance Technician (Fermentation) Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Steam, including boilers and system operation, components and controls. li>Maintaining compressed air and associated systems.
- Maintaining fluid systems and controls.
- HVAC, humidity control systems.
- Handling liquid nitrogen and industrial gases.
- Maintaining and replacing pumps.
- Maintaining and replacing Valves (including pneumatic, manual and modulating).
- Monitoring and maintaining chemical dosing systems – chemical safety < i>Monitoring pressure vessels, chilled water and vacuum systems/pumps.
The successful candidate:
- An understanding of automated controls / HMI / PLC control of process systems (not necessarily programming). Ability to understand and manipulate systems based upon the P&IDs.

This company specialises in designing and delivering cutting-edge District Heating Systems and has recently secured several high-profile projects. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on equipment such as pumps and heat exchangers, responding to reactive callouts to restore heating and resolve plant failures, and performing pipework repairs when required.
With an increasing number of energy centres and plant facilities under management, this role provides excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development within a growing engineering team.
The Role
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance on equipment including pumps, pressurisation units, and heat exchangers.
- Attend reactive callouts to restore heating and resolve plant failures (pumps, degassers, boilers, etc.).
- Service and repair commercial plant equipment while identifying root causes of failures.
- Conduct pipework repairs, including crimping, soldering, and plastic welding when necessary.
The Person
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in Mechanical and Electrical maintenance within a relevant industry, such as District Heating.
- NVQ Level 2-3 or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Experience liaising with third parties, including contractors and clients.
- Willingness to travel within the South East and respond to occasional callouts.
