The Farm Manager will be responsible for the efficient and profitable management of all aspects of crop cultivation, including planning, planting, cultivation, harvesting, and storage. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual crop production plans, including crop rotation, planting schedules, and yield targets.
- Manage all aspects of crop cultivation, including soil preparation, irrigation, fertilization, and pest/disease management.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of farm machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Manage and supervise a team of farm workers, providing training, setting performance expectations, and ensuring safe working practices.
- Monitor crop health and growth, making timely decisions regarding interventions.
- Manage the procurement of seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, and other necessary supplies.
- Oversee harvesting operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Implement and maintain records for crop yields, inputs, costs, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Manage farm budgets, control expenses, and work towards profitability targets.

Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in farm management or a senior agricultural supervisory role, with a strong focus on crop production.
- Proven experience in managing diverse crops and modern agricultural technologies.
- Solid understanding of soil science, plant nutrition, pest management, and irrigation techniques.
- Experience in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in farm business management, including budgeting and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in agriculture.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including during peak seasons and weekends.
- Must possess the right to work in the UK.
