Plumbing Supervisor - Dundee

We are a Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, catering for our many domestic and commercial client’s needs. We are looking for an experienced Plumber/Gas Engineer to assist with our Contract Management and small works operations. You will be capable of working independently and efficiently and will assist and report to the company directors.

HOURS OF WORKING

39 hours per week – Competitive Salary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Appointed Gas Supervisor

  • To be our nominated person for GASAFE

  • Ensure all work is carried out to required standards

  • Sign off gas Certificates

  • Carry out required duties for regular inspections from GASAFE

Supervision of Contracts/Estimating

  • Responsible for all safety requirements

  • The Manager has responsibility for ensuring all work carried out is completed on time and in line with our clients’ expectations and Industry standards.

  • Take off materials from drawings and prepare for procurement

  • Obtain quotes for materials

  • Purchase materials utilising our CRM system

  • Carry out inspections of work

  • Book in small works jobs

  • Price small works utilising our CRM systems

  • Coordinate and liaise with sub-contractors

  • Attend meetings with work colleagues and or Clients/Customers when necessary

  • Carry out Estimating duties

Key skills

  • Advanced Plumber

  • Hold valid CCN1 & CENWAT certificates

  • Hold relevant qualifications, S/NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 or Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing

  • Have passed an industry recognised Health and Safety Test (plumbing)

  • CSCS card holder

  • The successful candidate will be able to install, repair, inspect & test domestic gas installations and be conversant with Commercial gas installations

  • Previous experience of working at supervisory level advantageous

  • Driving License
