Our client, a leading energy consultancy firm committed to accelerating the transition to a sustainable future, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Renewable Energy Policy Analyst. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to shaping energy policy from anywhere within the UK. You will play a critical role in researching, analyzing, and advising on the complex landscape of renewable energy policies at national and international levels. Your work will involve evaluating the impact of existing and proposed regulations, identifying opportunities for renewable energy deployment, and providing strategic recommendations to key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, and investment firms. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and emerging renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and energy storage. You will be adept at quantitative and qualitative analysis, able to interpret complex data, and translate findings into clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of professionals. This remote role requires a self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a distributed team environment. You will be instrumental in driving the adoption of clean energy solutions and contributing to a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of renewable energy policies, regulations, and market trends.
  • Evaluate the economic, environmental, and social impacts of energy policies.
  • Develop policy recommendations and strategic advice for government bodies, industry clients, and investors.
  • Monitor legislative developments and provide timely updates and insights.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to foster knowledge sharing and develop innovative solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to advocate for supportive renewable energy frameworks.
  • Contribute to proposals and secure new business opportunities for the firm.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Energy Policy, Economics, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in energy policy analysis, with a specific focus on renewables.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and energy technologies.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
  • Experience with energy modeling software or data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Strong network within the energy and policy sectors is beneficial.
