Job description

About the role

This newly created role will help lead the Commissions strategic intelligence function focusing on threats to democracy and digital transparency. The Senior Analyst will drive innovation, exploring AI applications to shape new regulatory approaches and streamline processes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the collection, examination and dissemination of intelligence relating to identified threats to the democratic system, proactively identifying risks that may require the Commission to intervene
  • Contributing and leading the interpretation of data, presenting accurate and high-quality insight reports
  • Engage with external stakeholders to identify areas of joint work while supporting internal analysts in the efficient delivery of the Commission's monitoring and intelligence function

About the team

The Regulatory Action team is expanding to support the Commissions corporate plan. The team is dynamic, hybrid and committed to regulatory excellence. The team monitors campaigning and other activities by political parties and campaigners where it relates to political finance. The new Senior Analyst will play a key part in the team's regulatory work by leading innovation projects and developing new intelligence capabilities.

This role will suit someone with experience in regulatory intelligence, stakeholder engagement and digital innovation. Success will come from strategic thinking, data interpretation, and the ability to lead and mentor others.

You will need:

  • Experience in intelligence gathering and analysis
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge or experience in leveraging emerging technologies to innovate processes
