Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Film Editor to join their post-production team on a fully remote basis. This role is pivotal in shaping the narrative and visual impact of films, documentaries, and commercial projects. You will be responsible for assembling raw footage, editing sequences, color grading, sound mixing, and delivering final cuts that meet the project's artistic and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional storytelling abilities, mastery of editing software, and a keen eye for detail.

- Edit raw footage into coherent and engaging narratives according to script and directorial vision.
- Select the best takes, cut scenes, and assemble sequences in a logical flow.
- Perform basic color correction and sound mixing to enhance the final product.
- Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and music as required.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other post-production professionals.
- Manage and organize large volumes of media files and project assets.
- Ensure all edits adhere to technical specifications and delivery requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to editing software and hardware.
- Stay current with editing trends, software updates, and post-production technologies.
- Provide creative input and suggest innovative editing approaches.
- Manage project timelines and deliver edits within agreed deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Film Editor or in a similar post-production role, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer.
- Solid understanding of filmmaking principles, narrative structure, and pacing.
- Knowledge of color grading and audio mixing techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and file management skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage project scope remotely.
- High-speed internet connection and a suitable home editing environment are essential.

- Write code for the API/Backend (Lambda, TypeScript)
- Manage and build infrastructure using CDK and CloudFomation
- Design and build solutions that automate manual workflows
- Participate in code reviews for the team to ensure quality code and mentoring of other team members
- Building solutions to easily administer hundreds of systems.
A day in the life
A typical day will be spent writing code, doing code reviews, mentoring team members, and providing input on system designs.

The team focuses on building solutions and products for our Productions and Studio. In this role you will be building a first party product(s) that strives to vastly improve how the Media and Entertainment space produces content.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
