As a Poultry Operative working with raw products, you will be responsible for handling, processing, and preparing raw poultry in a hygienic, efficient, and safe manner. This role is crucial to ensuring that the products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Handling Raw Poultry: Unloading, cutting, deboning, trimming, or portioning raw poultry according to production requirements
- Operating Equipment: Using knives, saws, or mechanical tools to process poultry; operating conveyor belts, packaging machinery, or chilling systems where applicable.
- Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects or contamination and removing substandard items.
- Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Following strict hygiene practices (handwashing, PPE use, cleaning workstations) and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Teamwork: Working as part of a team to meet production targets and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Any other duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food production or meat processing environment (desirable but not essential).
- Comfortable working in chilled environments (typically 0–5°C).
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
- Understanding of basic hygiene and food safety practices (training provided).
- Willingness to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Shift pattern:
- Monday to Friday

While experience in broiler breeder management is ideal, candidates from broiler or layer backgrounds will also be considered. What matters most is a strong foundation in poultry husbandry, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to take ownership of the site.

Role Overview
