Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for power distribution networks, substations, and associated infrastructure.
- Perform power system analysis, including load flow, fault studies, stability analysis, and short-circuit calculations.
- Specify and select electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, and protective relays.
- Develop protection schemes and coordination studies for medium and high-voltage systems.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and integration of electrical systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., BS 7671, IEEE standards).

Qualifications:
- BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on power systems and distribution.
- In-depth knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PowerFactory) is essential.
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
- Thorough understanding of electrical protection principles, relaying, and system coordination.
- Experience with project management methodologies and budget control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
