Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to lead critical projects within their power distribution division. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and testing of complex electrical systems, ensuring they meet stringent safety, efficiency, and performance standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of power system analysis, protection, and control, along with a proven ability to manage challenging engineering projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for power distribution networks, substations, and associated infrastructure.
  • Perform power system analysis, including load flow, fault studies, stability analysis, and short-circuit calculations.
  • Specify and select electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, and protective relays.
  • Develop protection schemes and coordination studies for medium and high-voltage systems.
