Job Description
Our client is launching an exciting new graduate program and is looking for ambitious Junior Data Scientists to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote, internship position designed for individuals passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems. You will work closely with experienced data scientists, gaining hands-on experience in developing and implementing machine learning models, analysing large datasets, and contributing to data-driven product development. Your primary focus will be on supporting the creation of predictive models, data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploring new analytical approaches. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with ample opportunities for professional development and mentorship. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of statistics, programming (preferably Python), and a keen interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning. You should be eager to learn, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working autonomously in a remote setting.

- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering on diverse datasets.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Support the validation and testing of predictive models.
- Contribute to the documentation of data science processes and methodologies.
- Learn and apply new data science techniques and tools under guidance.
- Collaborate with team members on data-related projects and initiatives.
- Help prepare reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
- Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance analytical skills and contribute to project success.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Foundational knowledge of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Prior internship or project experience in data analysis or data science is a plus.
