Pay Rate: 12.50 - 12.75/hour

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed sanitation procedures and schedules for all processing areas, adhering to strict food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC, FDA guidelines).
• Conduct regular remote audits and inspections of facilities to assess sanitation effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide expert guidance and support to on-site sanitation teams regarding cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on proper sanitation procedures, hygiene practices, and allergen control.
• Investigate and address any sanitation-related non-compliance issues or deviations.

• Proven experience in a sanitation management or specialist role within the food processing, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and industry-specific hygiene standards.
• Experience in developing and implementing SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and cleaning equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and training abilities, suitable for a remote working environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and communication.
• Relevant certifications in food safety or sanitation (e.g., PCQI, HACCP certification) are highly desirable.

Main tasks will include packing, stacking and other general production duties.

There is strict policy of no Jewellery , fake lashes, fake nails, nail varnish, hair decorations or make up allowed , due to working in close contact with food.


Basic shift pattern is

Our client is a well-established canned food manufacturer based in Manchester, known for producing a diverse range of high-quality canned goods including soups, ready meals, sauces, and beans. We are currently recruiting dedicated and reliable individuals to join the production team as Food Production Packing Operatives . This role is based at the manufacturing site near Swinton, Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packing products from the production lines efficiently and accurately
• Preparing customer orders in line with specifications
• Assisting with various tasks as directed by the line manager
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the production area
• Adhering to all safety and quality guidelines

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Prior packing experience would be advantageous
