The Video Editor position is an exciting opportunity within our internal marketing video team, which is a crucial part of the broader Rebellion Marketing group. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our creative process, responsible for editing and producing captivating videos, demos, and cut scenes that showcase Rebellion’s products. You'll also ensure that your work aligns seamlessly with both the technical specifications and the artistic vision of each project.
This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. Responsibilities :

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw video footage into high-quality, engaging final products according to project briefs.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and clients to understand project objectives and creative direction.
- Select the most effective footage, sound, music, and graphics to tell a compelling story.
- Ensure continuity, pacing, and visual coherence throughout the edited video.
- Perform colour correction and grading to achieve desired visual styles.
- Incorporate motion graphics, visual effects, and sound design elements.
- Manage project files and maintain organised media libraries.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding progress and feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques, software, and industry trends.
- Deliver final video assets in various formats suitable for different distribution platforms.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Expertise in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Proficiency in related software such as After Effects for motion graphics is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of post-production workflows, codecs, and file formats.
- Excellent understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure.
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in colour correction and basic sound mixing.
- A degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
