**Title: Supply Chain Planning & Project Manager - Rotorcraft (Hybrid Working)**

**Role Overview:**
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a **Senior Supply Chain Planner** to join its Supply Chain Planning & Integration Team based in **Gosport** . This full-time position will focus on the UK Rotorcraft Chinook Programme, providing supply chain management and executing change requirements through the 'Additional Tasking' portfolio in support of core Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) requirements and new business initiatives.
The successful candidate will manage tasks from proposal through execution to delivery, gaining exposure to various functions both internally and with our customers. Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders will be essential for achieving on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
· Represent Rotorcraft Supply Chain Management as the key interface between Programme and Supply Chain. This would include preparing for and attending key Programme drumbeat meetings on behalf of Supply Chain
· Communicate and coordinate tasks and activities across the Supply Chain function. This position interfaces with all SCM functional areas inclusive of Supplier Management and Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, Demand Forecasting and Asset Management.
· Lead and Oversee the Supply chain aspects of the Additional Tasking portfolio from the initial (PPoA) through execution to delivery,
· Review new customer proposals to capture impact of change to Supply chain, develop Supply Chain Statements of Work (SOW) and Labour Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to accurately capture resource requirements.
· Manage change to Programme and contractual baselines as they relate to Supply Chain scope and requirements. Triage, impact assess and communicate these changes to across the all SCM functions.
· Identify and document supply chain risks, develop associated mitigation plans, and report on these with project owners.
· Execute change to the core Programme. Place additional tasking spares requirements into SAP and mange delivery through US & UK supply chain teams
· Develop and report on task metrics to highlight supply chain performance against contractual milestones.
· Collaborate with Commercial, Programme, Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to formulate task delivery strategies and milestone reports.
· Understand project milestones, capture actions and dependencies, track progress to completion, and present task status at Programme Management Reviews as required.
· Take on key projects and tasks to deliver cost and operational efficiency's and improvements
**This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working between the office and home, with the selected candidate expected to perform some work onsite at one of the designated locations.**
**Essential Requirements:**
· A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain role.
· Experience using inventory management tools or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ideally SAP.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
· Highly developed numeracy, analytical, and reporting skills.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively from proposal preparation through to Execution.
· Team-oriented mindset with the capability to communicate rapidly and effectively across functions and Customers
· Dynamic, innovative and self-motivated with ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
· Experience in Project Management, proposal preparation, including the writing of SOWs, labour BOEs
. Ability to acquire UK Security Clearance
**Preferred Additional Skills:**
· A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
· Experience working with the MoD and government contracts

Role Purpose: We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager specialising in SEMD.


With a hybrid working model, ideally, you would be willing to commute to the office around twice a week, however this isn’t 100% necessary. You will be expected to travel to HQ at least once a month for project reviews and will have the opportunity for regular site visits.


This role would suit a Project Manager looking to take the next step into a senior capacity.

As a team, we shape and support engineering and construction for our clients who, in turn, touch the daily lives of millions of people across the UK.


Our projects range in value from £5 to 5m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.


Role Overview


As a Project Manager, you will oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects from inception to completion. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating resources, managing timelines, and navigating challenges to achieve outstanding results.


This role would also particularly suit ex-military professionals , given the emphasis on infrastructure security, compliance, and protective measures under the SEMD programme — where transferable skills such as leadership, discipline, and operational awareness are highly valued.


The Role


  • Contracted to 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday
  • Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects
  • Take responsibility for a series of projects/packages as part of the delivery of the Security and Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) programme
  • Take responsibility for the health & safety of self and all under your control, including completion of RAMS
  • Creation and management of the appropriate project documentation and control of project expenditure within a monthly project reporting structure
  • Close liaison and management of the client and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Work with the team to achieve time and cost targets and coach others to ensure continuous improvement
  • Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment


Requirements


Essential

  • Project management experience in an industrial M&E / MEICA setting
  • Knowledge and background in Protective Security and Security and Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) programmes
  • Water industry experience – Water / Wastewater process
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
  • Experience or knowledge of planning software packages such as Microsoft Project / P6
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
  • SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience on NEC Suite of contracts


Desirable

  • Appropriate City & Guilds trade qualification where appropriate

The Role:

As a P3M Consultant (Project Manager) , you will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end project and programme management services to our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and Account leads to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives that align with business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse sectors, including defence, nuclear, space and energy, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide end-to-end project and programme management support, ensuring the delivery of tasks to time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, including resource management, risk assessment, and progress reporting.
  • Deliver quality controls and standards on projects in line with the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Facilitate stakeholder management by developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance using key metrics, analysing trends and providing actionable insights to senior leaders.
  • Lead the preparation of project plans, proposals, and reports to ensure consistency and adherence to client requirements.
  • Drive information management across the company, contributing to the development and maintenance of robust data systems and dashboards.
  • Support business development activities, including bid preparation and framework management.

About You:

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following essential and desirable attributes:

Essential

  • Proven experience in project, programme, or portfolio management roles
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant professional qualification (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, MSP).
  • Strong track record of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality standards
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment or with government clients.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
  • Delivering quality on projects.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Supporting teams in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure.
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., APM, PMI) and a desire for continued professional development.
  • Ability to travel to client sites across England as required. (Predominantly South and South-West Regions)
