Minuteman Press offers all aspects of design, marketing and print solutions to its customers. Our clients range from small independent businesses to large blue chip companies. We design print and provide a huge range of products for our customers such as business cards, flyers, brochures, logos, menus, signage, promotional products and much more. The role:

• Graphic design and digital pre-press tasks
• Dealing with new and existing clients on the phone, by email and face to face.
• support the digital print and finishing operative
• Digital press operator
• Print finisher
• Guillotine operator
• Helping in the finishing process of digital production products such as folding, stapling, creasing, drilling, etc.
• Operating the laminator, booklet maker, and other equipment
• Helping out in all other areas of the business when required.

Key attributes for candidate:

• High knowledge in Adobe Indesign, Illustrator & basic Photoshop

- Monday to Thursday  07:45am -16:30pm

Your Time At Work:

As a Print Inspector your duties include:

- Visually inspect a component to ensure it meets acceptance standards. Point of Sale industry
- Physically measure components and tools to ensure they meet design and standard specifications.
- Strictly follow planning sheets/work instructions for the inspection activity
- Identify and report all non-conformances and follow quality procedures.
- Liaise with the production operators regarding quality requirements to drive continuous improvement.

Our Perfect Worker:

Our perfect worker will have a good work ethic and high levels of concentration, you must be reliable, have good time keeping skills, be flexible, honest and trustworthy. You will be able to read, understand and interpret an engineering drawing and technical documentation and have basic mathematical arithmetic.

Applicants will show good attention to detail and an appreciation for high quality products and procedures and have a strong willingness to learn and take instructions. You will be able to participate in root cause investigation and help implement effective corrective actions.

Experience in a similar role is required.

My client is an industry leading print business and a pioneer within the marketing and communications side of the industry. Based at their Nottingham facility, they are currently seeking a Print Finisher to work within their busy production department.

You must be able to commit to working rotating weekly shifts – 6am – 1:30pm (MonFri) 1:30pm-9pm (Mon-Fri) and 9pm-6am (Mon-Fri) 

I'm looking for candidates who have experience operating Polar guillotines, MBO folders, Heidelberg Folders, Heidelberg Cylinders, Heidelberg Stitchers. Full training is provided if your experience is within other areas of finishing.

The Role

• To gain a full knowledge of the range of print finishing equipment operated by the department.
• Undertake support tasks as required by the Finishing Manager.
• To help to achieve team and individual targets as set by the Finishing Manager.
• Maintain a tidy and clean work area ensuring that the work area is kept in a clean and orderly manner.

Role: The purpose of this role is to assist within the production team; ensuring jobs are completed on time and to a high standard.

The main task is to assist in the production of high-quality large format digital prints where you will be part of the finishing team, operating a guillotine and finishing machines. Ideally you will have experience working in a similar role.

• Setting and running guillotine presses
• Producing large format digital prints
• Operating a Zund
• Laminating, cutting and weeding vinyl
