Shifts for Print Operative:

• Day shift 08:00 - 17:00
• Monday - Friday

Pay:

• £12.21 per hour
• Paid weekly

Main Duties of a Print Operative:

• Threading / Fiddly Work - Must be Dextrous
• Making boxes up
• Using a tape gun
• labelling, sticking and gluing.
• Packaging print work
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work as a team to hit deadlines

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Print Finisher to join our busy production environment on the night shift. You will be responsible for operating a wide range of finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and hands-on technical knowledge of finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of finishing machinery including:
• Cutting & Trimming – Guillotines (Polar, Wohlenberg, or equivalent).
• Folding – Stahlfolders, MBO or similar.
• Binding – Perfect binding, PUR binding, Saddle-stitching
• Laminating & Coating – Encapsulation and digital lamination machines.
• Die-cutting, Creasing & Perforating – Cylinders or platen machines.
• Check work against job specifications and conduct quality checks throughout the finishing process.
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, in full, and ready for dispatch.
• Assist with machine set-up, calibration, and routine maintenance.
• Minimise waste by ensuring efficient use of materials and accurate setup.
• Follow production schedules and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, keeping the workspace safe and organised.
• Support colleagues across the department with cross-training and flexible working as required.

• Proven experience as a Print Finisher in a high-volume print production environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of finishing processes and machinery.

As a Print Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the final stages of the printing process are completed to the highest standards. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the production of outbound and inbound document services. 

Night Shift - 42 hour week, 12 hour shifts from 6pm - 6am

This is a permanent role and works on an annualised hour shift pattern

Your main duties would include: 

• Operating and maintaining finishing equipment such as guillotines, folders, and binders.
• Ensuring all printed materials are finished accurately and meet quality standards.
