My client is a leading international bank that have hubs globally. They are looking to recruit a Private Banking Manager in their Lincolnshire office to start ASAP.
Description
* Private Banking Manager responsible for the maintenance and development of a portfolio of private banking customers. Building relationships with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision of excellent customer service.
* Identifying, meeting and winning prospective new customers/introducers by outlining how we work and what we can offer in terms of service and facilities.
* Demonstrating a sound understanding of, and an ability to work within the Bank's Credit Policy, ensuring lending decisions are within the lending discretion awarded by the Branch Manager.
* The ability to interpret financial information provided by customers, evaluate lending propositions, assess & formulate risk ratings correctly and structure transactions.
* Using the appropriate Bank systems to complete Credit applications and annual reviews.
* To develop and maintain a sound understanding of the local market. Demonstrable understanding of the products offered and a good understanding of competitor products, relevant industry and market driven trends.
* Being able to demonstrate an ability to identify and offer customers on a needs basis, the appropriate non MCOB regulated product/s, whilst also being able to communicate succinctly all the relevant features, benefits and risks.
* General administration, preparation of legal documentation for accounts, personal loans and mortgages, maintaining customer's files (including CDD/AML requirements), preparing annual reviews and making payments.
* Working with the rest of the Branch team to ensure the highest levels of (i) customer service, and (ii) Good Administrative Order, as well as working together to achieve the goals on the Branch Business Plan
* Operates in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework (including subframeworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.
Profile
- Private client banking experience previously
- Excellent customer service skills demonstrable on CV
- Good understanding of credit processes and personal customer product offering in a previous role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong sense of administrative order
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as presentations will be part of the role
- Ability to build strong professional relationships.

Private Banking Assistant role is to support Private Banking Relationship Managers in their day-to-day activities: account opening, amendments and closing, follow up on debit cards/internet banking, AML, and credit tasks.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
1. Account opening: prepare account opening packs, do WorldChecks, risk assessments (personal and corporate), adverse media, prepare and email/post to new customers the bank's welcome letters.
2. Handle and manage client relationship transfers between Retail and
Private Banking departments.
3. Debit cards: ensure timely order of debit cards, activation, cancellation, activation, and handle all fraud investigations and refunds.
4. Internet banking: Assist customers to register to internet banking, activate their registration, unblock their access, and answer any query related to this service.
5. Credit: prepare and follow up on all Customer information sheets requested from the bank , the Private Banking Assistant can prepare the risk modelling template for the credit application.
6. Periodically or as deemed necessary, communicate to customers all pertinent information on the status of their funds.
7. Always preserve customers’ confidentiality, paying particular attention to the security of documentation and communications. Also, adherence to instructions for safeguarding information and not disclosing any information about customers to a third party without the customer’s written approval, or otherwise in compliance with legal/statutory requirements.
8. Adhere to Banks policies such as Private Banking SOP and Financial Crime
Policies and Procedures.
9. Perform duties with reasonable skill and diligence.
10. Work closely with relationship managers in other ad-hoc client and bank related tasks.
Qualification & Experience
Qualification:
· University degree in Accounting/Economics/Business Admin.
Experience:
· Up to 3 years of banking experience.
Essential Competencies
· Sound knowledge and understanding of financial markets
· Sound knowledge and understanding of Bank products, systems, services, and procedures
· Good understanding of cultural sensitivities and issues
· Good communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· Fluency in Arabic and thorough understanding of Middle East culture and mentality.
