This role will sit on the engineering leadership team and play an integral part in providing solutions that are aligned with client needs and expectations and meet the necessary regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop the process engineering team, fostering technical excellence and career progression. li>Manage resource allocation and workload planning to meet project and business objectives.
- Provid technical leadership in process design, safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL), and process optimisation activities.
- Develop a d maintain process engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
- Act as the discipline lead on major projects, ensuring alignment with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Requirements
- BSc/M c in Process or Chemical Engineering, however candidates with considerable experience including several years in a leadership capacity will also be considered.
- Significant expe ience in process engineering within a range of highly regulated environments.
- Stron understanding and knowledge of UK process safety regulations (COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX).
- Be an xcellent communicator and collaborator across both internal and external stakeholders
- A wi lingness to travel and be present on sites and engage with clients, representing the company and identifying opportunities to add further value.

About the role
The Study Manager is the leader of the project/study and is the main contact on technical and commercial matters and actions related to the project/study. The Study Manager is responsible for managing the safe and efficient execution of assigned projects or studies and supports and leads proposals as required. - Identification of future opportunities with current client; Build Client relationships and improve Clients understanding of drivers and challenges
- Support and deputise for the Delivery Manager with Business Development campaigns to grow and diversify our market footprint and Client base; Awareness of competitors capabilities, lead discussions in corporate forums.
- Responsible for proposal preparation and delivery, and developing an executing strategy for a long term engagement on a project with a client.
- Working with the operational teams (consultants, engineers, and drafter/designer), responsible for ensuring agreed project Gross Profit targets are met on assigned projects/studies.
- Deliver projects in compliance with internal and/or Client processes; accountable for the quality of the service, assessed by Client feedback forms.
- Responsible for the Project profitability executed as per proposal
- Collaborates closely with Local Resource Planner on mobilisation and demobilisation requirements to maximise utilisation
- Liaise with Local Resource Coordinator and/or cost controller for forecast update regarding ongoing projects; Responsible for project monthly reporting
- Provide leadership to a team of Consultants and Engineers, ensuring strong engagement and motivation of the team, focused on results
- Collaborates closely with P&C teams and Local Resource Planner to ensure a proactive approach to development and retention of talent within their team
- Global collaboration to ensure continuous improvement and simplification of processes and tools, with focus on digitalization
- Responsible for leading on all aspects of a project from Quality, through to HSE and sustainability.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar discipline and Chartered status
- Extensive experience working on processing engineering projects in the energy industry across concept, feasibility or FEED project stages
- Experience working as Lead Engineer on concept, feasibility and/or FEED studies
