Are you an experienced Process Engineer with a proven track record of leading and developing a team to deliver best in class process design and installation services across a range of highly regulated, process industries such as chemical, food, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and Oil & Gas?

If so, Adepto are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the hire of a Process Engineering Manager to join their business in the Teesside area.

This role will sit on the engineering leadership team and play an integral part in providing solutions that are aligned with client needs and expectations and meet the necessary regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop the process engineering team, fostering technical excellence and career progression.
  • li>Manage resource allocation and workload planning to meet project and business objectives.
  • Provid  technical leadership in process design, safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL), and process optimisation activities.
  • Develop a d maintain process engineering standards, procedures and best practices.
  • Act as the discipline lead on major projects, ensuring alignment with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide technical support during design and execution phases.
  • Ensure c mpliance with UK regulations (COMAH, DSEAR, PED) and international standards.
  • Supp rt business development through technical input to proposals and client presentations.
  • Assis  with preparing technical specifications for procurement along with subsequent evaluation and selection for equipment and materials.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules and budgets.
  • ead on process design and associated deliverables across all projects, managing simulations, calculations and optimisation.
  • Provide t chnical support and commissioning advice through construction phases of projects.

Key Requirements

  • BSc/M c in Process or Chemical Engineering, however candidates with considerable experience including several years in a leadership capacity will also be considered.
  • Significant expe ience in process engineering within a range of highly regulated environments.
  • Stron  understanding and knowledge of UK process safety regulations (COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX).
  • Be an  xcellent communicator and collaborator across both internal and external stakeholders
  • A wi lingness to travel and be present on sites and engage with clients, representing the company and identifying opportunities to add further value.

Are you ready to join a team of talented and innovative Renewable Energy professionals and work on a wide variety of groundbreaking projects?

As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work on a range of projects in the energy and renewable power sector, with a focus on providing Process Safety inputs as well as engineering delivery and management of tasks and deliverables. Provide engineering design and technical advisory services to a diverse range of clients; ensuring all technical design work is completed in accordance with local standards and sound engineering principles;
Provide expertise on process hazard analysis, including chairing HAZID and sometimes HAZOP studies associated with the teamu2019s projects and advising clients on needs for safety studies and contributing to and reviewing safety studies completed by contractors for compliance with requirements on behalf of our clients;
Work with Process Safety professionals within the wider AECOM business to develop collaboration opportunities and enhance quality of service in this area for our clients;
