Miryco Consultants are working with a Global Leading Asset Manager to add a Senior Process Improvement professional to their growing team. This is senior role and will be an opportunity for an experienced individual to come and join a global, exciting company.

The individual will lead complex or large process improvement initiatives using process improvement methodology (e.g., Lean, Agile, etc.) to develop, identify, analyse, and improve existing business processes and apply functional expertise to improve business and client results.

Core responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyse and improve business processes to enhance quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies/productivity, and boost customer satisfaction.
  • Manage process improvement initiatives from inception through implementation ensuring deadlines are met

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years related work experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Process improvement certification Ability to obtain certification within 1 year period.
  • Asset Management or Wrap Platform experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, gap/problem analyses.

Our client, a leading manufacturing firm in Plymouth, Devon, UK , is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Process Optimization Engineer to join their dynamic industrial engineering team. You will be instrumental in analysing, designing, and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes, supply chains, and overall production workflows. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying bottlenecks, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity through the application of industrial engineering principles and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Design and develop new or modified processes and production systems, ensuring optimal resource utilization and workflow.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to implement process changes and improvements.
  • Utilize data analysis tools, simulation software, and statistical methods to model and validate process designs.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify trends.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational staff.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in industrial engineering technology and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industrial engineering role, with a focus on process optimization.
  • Proven experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, Excel) and process simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
