**Basic Required Qualifications:**

This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and driving continuous improvement across various industrial processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies for process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other quality improvement tools to streamline workflows.
  • Design, simulate, and test new process designs and modifications using advanced engineering software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to implement recommended changes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistent process execution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Train and mentor junior engineering staff on process improvement techniques and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industrial engineering and process optimization.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings, recommendations, and project outcomes for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements that have led to measurable gains in efficiency, cost savings, or quality.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
