Key job responsibilities
Amazon is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist II to join our 3P Grocery Partnerships team. As one of the worldu2019s most recognisable brands, Amazon delivers millions of products each year to loyal customers. Our 3P business expands this by partnering with local stores through our Ultra-Fast Fresh platform.
In this role, youu2019ll act as a key link between local operations and central business teams, driving innovation and operational excellence across the Northern UK. Youu2019ll work closely with stakeholders to analyse performance data and identify opportunities to enhance our Grocery Partnership service. A core focus will be tracking key metrics and delivering actionable, data-driven recommendations.
As the regional lead, youu2019ll be the subject matter expert for 3P operations, accountable for targets across customer experience, productivity, and quality. Youu2019ll also manage cross-functional projects and work directly with merchants to ensure smooth rollout of new initiatives.
This role requires strong relationship management and analytical skills, as you'll serve as the primary point of contact for partner store management and local operations teams.
Due to the evolving Grocery Partnership environment, youu2019re expected to operate in a highly ambiguous setting, communicating daily with your direct manager.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
- Experience with supporting tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, MS Excel and MS Access)

Leadership
Lead the line organisation through the relevant IWS Phase Journey to drive performance improvement and sustainable results
Maintain a clear understanding of priorities, including execution requirements and resource planning, particularly with regard to people and capability
Coach and support site organisation to effectively set direction during Daily Direction Setting (DDS), ensuring alignment with site-level targets
Provide leadership for the FI/WPI Pillar, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and capability building
Influence peers and cross-functional teams to align on priorities and deliver results, including through indirect leadership and collaboration across organisational boundaries
Loss Elimination
Develop the IWS Site Master / 90-Day Plan to address losses and build capability
Lead execution of 90 Day Plans to eliminate losses using IWS tools
Monthly review of Site Master Plans and results
Drive breakthrough results in OEE, Planned and Unplanned Downtime while delivering against the Master Production Schedule (use OPM and other tools)
Lead issue resolution “to Root Cause” on the floor of chronic stops eg (IPS, UPS)
DMS Capability Build
On the floor coaching of line leads andATMs
Perform hands-on coaching (actual usage) on the 8 RTT DMS’s
Loss Elimination
Skill Development/Technical Mastery/Behavioural
Coach the use of standard work to eliminate non-value added work, including coaching the link to effort reduction

Skilled in leading structured change initiatives and driving sustainable improvements
Excellent planning and organisational abilities
Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to seeking input from the wider team
High level of personal accountability and ownership for delivering results
Competence in handling large volumes of data; minimum intermediate proficiency in Excel
Experience operating as part of a leadership team or demonstrable readiness to step into such a role, with the strategic thinking and influence required at that level

Our client has been established for almost 40 years and are recognised market leaders in the design and development, manufacture and distribution of an impressive portfolio of solutions for supply throughout the world, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2026 and beyond, are now looking to recruit an experienced, hands-on and proactive Continuous Improvement Engineer to complement their professional and successful manufacturing team.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Design Engineering Manager and based near Coleshill, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements using methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Working within core values that include Quality, Innovation, care for the environment and global capability with a unique product portfolio, you will be passionate about all aspects of sustained continuous improvement and striving to meet and exceed company objectives, KPI's and metrics.
Tasked with developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies in both manufacturing and company processes, you will collaborate with the engineering team to perform DMAIC activities to eliminate inefficiencies across the business and provide technical guidance to enhance production quality and efficiency. Responsible for monitoring and analysing KPI's to identify areas for improvement and taking corrective action where needed, you will drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimise operations whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
Able to establish effective relationships with shift supervisors or process implementers to assess needs and objectives, you will provide direction to the manufacturing team, instilling best practice and lean principles with the ability to train and mentor colleagues in SOP's and new ways of working running kaizen events whilst ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times. Other duties for the varied and challenging CI Engineer position will include (but not be limited to) managing projects through to implementation, delivering on time and within budget, improving factory floor layouts and optimising workflow and operator movement, and liaising with the Engineering team with specification procurement and the implementation of new plant & equipment, as well as re-visiting implemented changes to ensure results are sustained.
It is envisaged that the successful Continuous Improvement Engineer candidate will have at least 5 years proven experience gained within a dedicated process improvement manufacturing environment and essentially skilled and qualified in various lean manufacturing processes and methodologies (Six Sigma, 5S, PDCA, Kaizen, Kanban etc), realistically qualified to HND level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline with experience of AutoCad and the MS suite of products.
With excellent influencing and communication skills at all levels and the ability to diagnose and define problems, measure/collect and analyse data, determine root cause, select and implement solutions and control/sustain outcomes, you will be both results and data driven to improve and sustain change and thrive within a continuous improvement focussed environment and able to motivate others to be the same.
