Key job responsibilities

Amazon is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist II to join our 3P Grocery Partnerships team. In this role, youu2019ll act as a key link between local operations and central business teams, driving innovation and operational excellence across the Northern UK. Youu2019ll work closely with stakeholders to analyse performance data and identify opportunities to enhance our Grocery Partnership service. A core focus will be tracking key metrics and delivering actionable, data-driven recommendations.



As the regional lead, youu2019ll be the subject matter expert for 3P operations, accountable for targets across customer experience, productivity, and quality. Youu2019ll also manage cross-functional projects and work directly with merchants to ensure smooth rollout of new initiatives.



This role requires strong relationship management and analytical skills, as you'll serve as the primary point of contact for partner store management and local operations teams.



Due to the evolving Grocery Partnership environment, youu2019re expected to operate in a highly ambiguous setting, communicating daily with your direct manager.

Basic Qualifications

- A Bachelor's degree

- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions

- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques

- Experience with supporting tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, MS Excel and MS Access)

Our client in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Bolton. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing continuous improvement strategies to reduce defects within the stores area, including rework and non-conformances.
  • Applying 8D and A3 methodologies to identify root causes and developing effective solutions.
  • Utilising Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process efficiencies.
  • Employing quality tools to ensure product and process integrity.
  • Conducting data analysis using Minitab or other relevant software.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on improvement activities and outcomes.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in manufacturing continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality tools.
  • Proficiency with data analysis software such as Minitab.
  • Strong background in manufacturing and warehousing.
  • Awareness of supply chain goods receiving practices.
  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Just-in-Time (JIT) principles.
  • Formal Technical Engineering or Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21, or equivalent qualifications such as HNC, BEng, or relevant Engineering or Science Degree.
  • A focus on and commitment to continuous improvement in a professional career.


Additional Information:

  • This position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Monday to Friday on-site work pattern.
  • Security Clearance: SC with BPSS to start.
  • Infrequent travel may be required as per business needs.
  • Face-to-face on-site interviews will be conducted.
