As a Supply Chain & Procurement Coordinator / Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist will be responsible for quoting parts required by customers. They manage the daily receipt of local and international supplies, national distribution, and assess customer needs. Operating within the Customer Service Department, the team maintains external contacts with customers and third parties involved in supply processes. This role is based in Great Yarmouth.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities of Supply Chain & Procurement Coordinator / Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist
Lead and coordinate all supply chain activities.
Define sourcing, production, storage, and distribution strategies.
Monitor KPIs such as OTIF (On Time In Full), logistics cost, inventory turnover, and lead times.
Manage purchasing operations and ensure compliance with procurement cycles.
Negotiate contracts and framework agreements with suppliers.
Control budgets and spending policies & Execute strategic and tactical purchasing.
Negotiate prices, lead times, and terms.
Analyse market trends and supply risks.
Process purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
Support documentation, tenders, and invoice control.
Forecast product and raw material demand.
Prepare supply and production plans based on forecasts and stock levels.
Coordinate with purchasing and production to avoid stockouts or overstock.
Manage domestic and international transportation and distribution.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents.
Ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversee warehouse operations.
Maintain accurate and organized inventories, and perform cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
Quote products related to services, aiming for the best availability using company tools.
Respond quickly to requests for quotations.
Identify market developments and new technologies that could add value.
Stay informed on relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements Supply Chain & Procurement Coordinator / Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist
Proven experience in a similar role, experience within a marine environment preferred
Proficient in MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Understanding of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
Inventory management and warehouse operations expertise.
Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, and stock optimization.
Contract negotiation and vendor management experience.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English (additional languages a plus).
Negotiation and persuasion abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Flexible and proactive in adapting to market and business changes.
Able to travel as required,
Able to travel to the role based in Great Yarmouth daily

Purpose of role:
The efficient reliable procurement of raw materials and packaging materials in alignment with Manufacturing Plan and Order Schedule.
Role Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
- The procurement of raw materials and packaging in alignment with business needs.
- The raising of accurate Purchase orders in a timely manner against the Manufacturing requirement “shopping list”.
- Coordination of Order Status – liaising with suppliers and internal communication with business teams on material arrival versus planned dates
- Management of impact of delays/issues with raw materials – ensuring key stakeholders aware of change allowing business time to plan
- The development of Contingency Supply Base aiming for dual supply source on key raw materials
- liaison with Development & Quality to ensure Supplier/Product Approvals are completed as timely as possible
- Provide support to identify new suppliers or contingency suppliers for new materials and packaging
- Involvement in agreed purchasing projects that deliver value to the business via flexible supply base, cost, reduced lead time etc.
- Following up on artwork changes, chasing proofs & CAD samples from suppliers.
- Highlighting to Sales team key Milestone dates & implications for supply should the dates be passed – so there are no surprises/disappointments when lead times slip
- Monitors the change control document from procurement perspective to ensure departments are completing tasks timely and recording properly on the database.
- Returns to suppliers – raising on the system, coordinating with the suppliers on uplifting/replacement goods and processing the completed return docs & copies for Anne for invoicing.
- Setting up new item codes
