Following a strong period of growth, our client – one of the largest and most respected housing providers in the South of England – is expanding their Finance Directorate and looking to welcome an experienced Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis.
The role is due to start – subject to notice – on a permanent basis contract and the salary per annum is £32,399 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a procurement role and ideally have experience working in the social housing sector.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Create clear specifications, performance criteria and documents for quotation and/or for tender purpose
- Publish quotations/tenders via electronic procurement portal (In-Tend)
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures when undertaken any purchasing activity
- Complete quote and tender price and quality evaluations including moderation
- Produce contract award reports for approval
- Build and maintain strong supplier working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Support the Head of Procurement and Procurement Managers with projects as and when required including administrative tasks
- Undertake research into new requirements and suppliers
- Bring new ideas and support continuous improvement within the Procurement Team
