What you will be doing

In this role, you'll shape and deliver industry-leading reporting products. You'll define our future vision, identify opportunities to accelerate progress, and manage the product backlog. As the key liaison for business requirements, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams—developers, QA engineers, analysts, and architects—to:

  1. Develop a deep understanding of the payment lifecycle and merchant needs
  2. Represent the voice of the customer within the engineering team
  3. Translate business requirements into user stories and manage delivery cycles
  4. Support engineering teams during PI planning and agile ceremonies
  5. Continuously review and reprioritize the backlog, coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners

About the Role

As Product Development Manager , you will be pivotal in leading product lifecycle strategy for a market-leading portfolio. This cross-functional leadership role will see you liaise directly with engineering, operations, sales, marketing, and the CEO. You’ll ensure products are commercially viable, fit-for-market, and manufactured profitably, especially within international supply chains. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing new product development and innovation (NPI)

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing new and creative product/material/application ideas, approaches, insights, and designs, which profitable, innovative, and anticipate customer needs
  • Preparing and reviewing FMEA and PPAP plans to ensure the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP2) requirements are met and timelines are achieved
  • Conducting feasibility studies with appropriate tools e.g. FEA and recommending design or material improvements

  • Product design experience (Product design involving plastic/rubber/composites and compression, injection or injection transfer moulding experience would be advantageous)
  • Experience of working in cross-discipline teams
