**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Helps set direction on Product Management methodology for the organization
+ Supports overall design of the operating rhythm for Product Management across the organization (in alignment with industry best practices)
+ Helps shape and influence product deliverables for highly critical / large products
+ Evaluates performance across product teams and provides recommendations on opportunities for improvement to senior leadership
+ Acts as a key liaison translating senior leadership feedback into actionable steps to improve product methodology across the organization
+ Mentors PdM's and Product Coaches on building high-performing teams
+ Supports product teams in engaging with leadership and stakeholders to communicate the product vision and ensure alignment across different levels of the organization
+ Provides input on product OKRs and their alignment with the organization's strategic goals
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelors or higher in business, computer science, engineering, product management or related field
+ 7+ years experience in Product Management - envisioning, roadmapping, storylining, and delivering a products with current methodologies (ie; product lifecycle management, agile, safe, etc)
+ Technical fluency to interface and translate between business and technical domains
+ Demonstrated history of driving results across all aspects of product delivery, from research, prototyping, user acceptance testing (UAT), value proposition definition, and ongoing operations
+ Demonstrate thought leadership and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
+ Deep knowledge of various technology roles of the organization and how roles interact to delivery value across the product lifecycle
+ Ability to clearly define, agree, and negotiate OKRs focused on business value at all levels
**Industry Skills**
+ Industry-leading knowledge of digital collaboration and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, ADO) or comparable alternatives
+ Deep expertise in technology governance and mgmt. trends, methodologies, and surrounding vendor ecosystem
+ Extensive knowledge of domain-specific technology stack, with the technology fluency required to interface between business and technical domains at all levels in the organization
+ Demonstrated history of stakeholder management capability and leadership communication (e.g., roadshows, press releases, etc.)
+ Ability to effectively influence people at all levels of the organization
+ Effective people leadership skills coaching, mentoring, and developing tech talent

The GRC Platforms and capabilities team within GRC is responsible for building and implementing innovative technology solutions for risk management. One such platform is CADENCE which leverages high technology to perform Risk Management associated with Customer Risk Rating.
We are seeking a Product Manager to become part of our global team. This is a team of dreamers and realists using their creative and analytical chops to design and build world class platforms. These platforms are the heart of American Express' Risk Management function.
**How will you make an impact in this role?**
This position is within the newly formed **GRC Platform and Capabilities team** within Global Risk and Compliance Line of Business. The Product Manager position will provide day to day strategic support and function as the primary point of contact owning the vision and roadmap of technology products and platforms for the Global Risk and Compliance organization. Particular focus would be on new product development, risk management initiatives, process control and improvement and end user experience. This is a highly visible and strategic position within the company.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Own EPICs/Capabilities end-to-end.
+ Collaborate with business partners and colleagues in defining strategy and roadmap
+ Enable cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders such as Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Operations, Legal etc. to define solutions.
+ Collaborate with engineering partners in defining system/component design and detailed work plans
+ Be a storyteller and clearly articulate the why, what, and how of the product or feature
+ Define and articulate business metrics and targets for initiatives and platforms and own ongoing monitoring and improvements
+ Maintain an active product backlog that closely aligns with the strategy and roadmap
+ Translate software product roadmap into minimum viable product iterations.
+ Work closely with the Technology team to develop, test and deliver the defined user stories for the platform capabilities and features and rapidly iterate new solutions through automation and demo/prototyping.
+ Own and accept all user stories or features for assigned scrum team or capabilities
+ Review/demonstrate sprint-related or general functionality with external partners and customers, including the Director of Product Management and other colleagues
+ Ensure that the appropriate tracking and reporting is in place to track performance post launch to evaluate future investment.
+ Understand and apply new trends and competitive best practices into requirements and team method of work
+ Identify opportunities to test and learn, define hypotheses, design experiments, evaluate results and recommend next steps
+ Support and implement agile principles.
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ 5 years of Product Management experience driving product implementation in an iterative approach
+ A good balance of business acumen and technical knowledge with a proven track record of driving platform innovation with a customer-first mindset
+ Must have the ability to "connect the dots" between different requirements of different stakeholders
+ An established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, Agile, and SAFe principles
+ Ability to push the boundaries of existing technologies and processes
+ Strong leadership with the ability to influence others through partnerships
+ Must possess a growth mindset and creative thinking skills
+ Have intellectual curiosity and be a quick learner
+ Build empathy with customers and end users knowing that the impacts of their work can be felt across multiple entities
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field required; advanced degree in Business or Engineering preferred
