CPS Group are working with a leading Tech Organisation based in London. They have an excellent opportunity for a Product Marketing Manager to join their growing Product Marketing team.

In this role, you will be the key link between the sales, marketing, and product management teams on a global scale. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute product and solution positioning strategies that differentiate the company's offerings within the device security market.

This role will involve the opportunity to attend events / trade shows across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the main point of contact for marketing initiatives related to assigned products and solutions, leading and managing product marketing efforts
Collaborate with product managers to identify market opportunities and create compelling value propositions for each product line.
Work with field marketing and product management to develop solution briefs that support the creation of product collateral (e.g., pitch decks, videos, explainers) to ensure products are effectively represented across key segments and regions
Support the development of go-to-market (GTM) strategies to position products accurately within various market segments and geographical regions
Conduct market research and competitive analysis, utilizing insights from sales data, surveys, and customer focus groups to understand customer needs, market potential, and pricing/channel strategies

Candidate Skills/Experience:

We are looking for a bright, articulate and ambitious Product Marketing candidate, someone who has a passion for working within Product Marketing, and would relish the chance to work within Cyber / Security

Proven experience in a similar B2B product marketing role ideally from within the Tech / Cyber / Security sector.
Strong experience of creating / defining GTM strategies
Exceptional marketing execution and business analysis skills, with the ability to effectively position and promote products and solutions

What you will be doing

This role’s purpose is to directly support the professional printing business group (Ricoh Graphic Communications) to ensure the allocated product and service portfolio meets company objectives (market share, growth, revenue and gross margin), is market-ready and orderable, and is accepted and understood by all sales channels.

  • To ensure all products & services are orderable on the back-office systems.
  • Manage the Promotions and Pricing process to ensure all funds are claimed and collected from Group HQ and Suppliers
  • Own & maintain relationships with key Supply Chain Management & Business Operations teams to ensure stock availability & distribution of the products & services.
  • To be the principle contact for nominated Third Party Suppliers to manage the associated activities required to build a compelling offer.
  • Act as primary contact for the specialist product portfolio to meet the company goals of revenue, unit sales & strong profit. Including responding to Sales queries
  • Drive the professional printing portfolio roadmap to include a successful launch programme and the management through its lifecyle.
  • Create Sales Enablement tools to ensure business confidence & success in promoting the portfolio. To include training coordination, building effective presentations & event participation.
  • Support the messaging & content that enables the successful promotion of the portfolio through campaigns, PR, advertising & promotions.
  • Manage the product performance to include regular financial & unit reporting, customer evaluation & competitor analysis that ensures the products are fit for the target market(s).

You will ideally have

  • Some experience in B2B Product Marketing Management ideally within the professional printing sector
  • Strong administrative skills, working on company back-office systems
  • Graduate caliber and/or significant marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of the communications mix, together with a competency of digital marketing
  • Understanding of agile marketing methodologies
  • Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Experience of managing supplier partnerships
  • Ability to learn new and complex technologies so that concepts can be communicated at all levels of the organisation
  • High attention to detail with excellent numeracy skills i.e., margin, markups

The role of Product Marketing Manager:

The purpose of the role is to develop and lead product category vision and planning, championing best in class category management.

Key Areas of Responsibility of the Product Marketing Manager

Ownership of Product Management and Marketing for consumer business categories; from identifying where our client will win, the formation of launch plans, product positioning, creation of engaging and relevant content, through to analysing competitor and category performance, enabling informed decisions that support growth of market share, revenue and margin.

  Main Tasks
  • Develop data and insight led 1, 3 & 5 year category strategy plans, in line with wider business and specific category objectives. Measure and report performance to senior management, both in the UK and Internationally.
  • Create comprehensive launch plans for all new product launches in the UK, leading cross departmental teams to guarantee successful market entry.
  • Develop product and price positioning, lead statements, KSP's, features & benefits, and point of difference for all existing and new products.
  • With the support of Product Management Coordination, track and analyse sales performance of selected product categories, using data such as Sales-in, EPOS, GFK, ATV & margin to make product, promotion and marketing recommendations.
  • Carry out annual category reviews ahead of updating and presenting new strategy and plans to key internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Online and Retail sales teams to understand market and retailer opportunities & challenges. Be proactive with recommendations based on research and/or analysis as well as category plans.
  • Manage the creation of all copy and content for Kärcher Consumer categories and products. Liaise with the wider Marketing teams to ensure the assets created support the relevant channels, and overall product strategy.
  • Document, and make decisions / recommendations from extensive competitor research. Support the wider Product and Marketing team with desktop, field and product test analysis. Report findings and recommendations to wider business and internationally.
  • Oversee and manage all product information creation and data entry relating to owned categories, supporting colleagues in other departments with such information where required.
  • Be a product and category champion, available to deliver presentations, training  and insight to internal and external stakeholders where required.
  • Liaise closely with Head Office (Germany) colleagues, particularly Product Management, providing relevant feedback and building relationships to influence wider company decisions.
  • Work closely with the logistics and stock control team to manage shipping, stock and forecast requirements in line with category plans.
  • Proactively attend retailer and internal meetings to influence and support category performance objectives.

Qualifications, experience and characteristics of the Product Marketing Manager

  • Degree qualified or at least 3 years consumer / retail product management experience
  • Knowledge of Marketing, Product Management and Retail environments is required.
  • We are looking for someone with experience of Category Planning, Product Management, Pricing strategy, Project Management, FMCG / Consumer Products and Competitor and Insight Analysis
  • The ideal candidate will be a Self-starter with a Proactive hands-on approach, they must have excellent Influencing skills and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally

- Project management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a high activity, dynamic environment. Penchant for delivering on time with high attention to detail and quality. Demonstrated ability to work individually on projects while collaborating with and supporting other team members.
- Behavioral characteristics: intellectually curious, passionately persistent, resilient and tenacious - always learning and bravely tackling new challenges.
- Technical competencies: Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Tableau, Google Analytics, Workfront, LinkedIn. Other MarTech, content creation or productivity tools considered an advantage.
- Language skills: English Fluent. Dutch knowledge will also be a significant asset.
