The Role:
Focusrite Novation’s Product Marketing Manager is responsible for making sure our worldwide sales and marketing team have everything they need to communicate about our products in the best possible way.
You will own our messaging for all Focusrite and Novation products and be a confident writer – with an ability to create engaging, inspiring copy and follow the tone of our brands.
As an expert in our products, you will create key sales-enablement materials, including product information packs for our reseller network, pitch decks for our sales team and more.
As someone deeply connected to our customer journeys, you’re accountable for making sure our brand site product pages are the best in the business, and manage their ongoing optimisation, as well as lending a hand with our email marketing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with the Senior Marketing Manager to deliver compelling go-to-market strategies for new products that deliver against business expectations.
- Working with the Product Management Team to make sure our messaging, and therefore copy, is the best it can be for our products.
- Working with the customer intelligence team to make sure we have clearly defined customer personas, their journeys, and the business understands how to use those in their marketing activities – particularly marketing.
- Keeping in touch with the market as a whole, working with Product Management and beyond to make sure we maintain strong competitor analyses.
- Supporting Content and Brand Managers to make sure their work represents our products and features accurately and in the best possible ways.
- Owning the marcomms for product updates such as software or firmware updates
- Owning our brand site content, particularly product and range pages
- Working with our email marketer to make sure our emails are well targeted and use the best messaging they can.
Required Experience:
- Minimum three years’ experience working in a marketing team, ideally in a product marketing or copywriting function.
- A strong connection to music-making is a must, and in particular a strong understanding of the tools our customers use to create and record music – if you actually make music yourself, even better.
- Demonstrable experience writing excellent customer-facing copy, particularly for creative, musical or technical products.
- A good sense of the customer journey, and our role in our customers’ music making processes.
- An eye for data, and a demonstrable ability to identify cohorts and glean insights from rich, holistic data.
- A great communicator, with a track record of excellent stakeholder management across a range of disciplines
