About the Role
We are seeking a creative and dynamic teacher to bring innovative and exciting learning opportunities to life. You will provide a varied and high-quality education for our students, focusing primarily on practical and technical skills, in line with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Although you may have a particular specialism, this role would also suit someone eager to continue developing their own skills alongside our pupils — for example, in smart materials, CAD/CAM, graphics, textiles, resistant materials, electronics, photography, or animation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, practical lessons that support student development across a range of technical and creative subjects.

As part of our continued growth in service, we are looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Baston House School.
About the Role
This is a vital role for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a young person’s life. As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and therapy team to deliver tailored support in line with the pupil’s individual education plan (IEP). You will play a key part in helping the pupil access learning, build resilience, and develop both academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time 1:1 support for an individual pupil across the school day.
- Implement and adapt the pupil’s educational and behavioural programmes, supporting progress in learning, engagement, and social development.
- Record and monitor progress, contributing to reports, annual reviews, and progress files.
- Support the pupil with emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour and resilience.
- Prepare materials, resources, and learning environments to meet the pupil’s needs.
- Liaise with teachers, SENCo, and therapists to ensure a consistent approach to support.
- Supervise the pupil during unstructured times (breaks, lunch, transitions).
- Accompany the pupil on educational visits and, occasionally, assist with transport.
- Encourage independence, self-esteem, and appropriate social interactions.
- Contribute to staff meetings, training (including CPI), and whole-school policies.
- Maintain professional conduct in line with the school’s values, safeguarding policies, and dress code.

You will provide a varied and high-quality education for our students, focusing primarily on practical and technical skills, in line with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
