+ Responsible for strategic policy planning and implementation to enhance the activities, governances and operational efficiencies in EMEA.
+ Responsible for rebuilding the robust regulatory policy and strategy across EMEA, covering horizon scanning, implementation of new regulations, and monitoring of open issues with regulators, all of which require MUFG wide coordination both in Tokyo and EMEA.
+ Responsible for regulatory compliance with respect to the operations administered by EMEA, and supporting communication and negotiation with local authorities in EMEA.
+ Responsible for setting and management of organization performance evaluation for COOI area.
+ Responsible for providing support, guidance, assistance and management on the Safety and Soundness activity for each branch, representative office and local affiliate offices in EMEA.
+ Responsible for liaising between HO divisions in Tokyo and divisions / branches in EMEA, communicating and negotiating in many cases in Japanese (reading, writing and speaking). If necessary, interpreting between English and Japanese. (The communication with and application to Japanese regulatory bodies is accepted only in Japanese.)
+ Responsible for leading crisis management in serious disasters, terrorism, riots, wars, and outbreaks (pandemics) of infectious disasters etc.
+ Responsible for supporting facility team to ensure safety and effectiveness of all bank facilities in EMEA.
+ Responsible for collaborating with Corporate Communication team for developing internal/external communication, brand related strategies & initiatives.
+ Responsible for enhancing collaborative framework among affiliated companies and alliance partners.
**WORK EXPERIENCE**
+ A proven track record of establishing strategies and achieving business development targets.
+ Proven track record of building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
+ Extensive/enough experiences in the banking industry.
**SKILL AND EXPERIENCE**
**Functional / Technical Competencies**
+ Excellent understanding of a broad spectrum of banking business and other financial industries, both in the global and regional market.
+ Fluent English and Japanese language skills, both written and oral.
+ Ability to lead by example by coaching, mentoring and developing staff.
+ Good working knowledge of Japanese business culture or experience of adapting to and working with different culture.

The Operations Strategy team (currently 7 people) exists to understand Operations performance, drive efficiencies and improve service. As an Operations Strategy Manager, you’ll work closely with teams such as Customer Success, Credit Analysts, Collections & Legal, People Operations and our support team in India, to identify opportunities and drive meaningful impact.

Requirements

To achieve this you will:-

  • Work with Operations to identify problems that need solving, such as:
    • What is the optimal contact strategy for the Customer Success team to employ, in order to drive conversion through the funnel? How do we test this?
    • What is the value of calling delinquent customers and how do we test this?
    • What metrics can we use to measure the performance of our Customer Success team?
    • How can we most accurately forecast capacity needs for each team, to ensure we remove all operations bottlenecks?
  • Analyse data to inform your answers and shape an effective solution; as well as doing your own analysis, you’ll work with our Operations Strategy Data Scientist to get even more analytical power from your data
  • Take responsibility for implementing these changes, working closely with Ops and Tech & Analytics in the process
  • Understand strategic developments across the business and identify how they will impact Operations, and how Operations will need to adapt in order to support future strategies

You’ll work on a variety of fast-paced projects, learning from tests and effecting changes that really make an impact.

In this role, you will work closely with our COO and have significant exposure to senior management, as well as stakeholders from across the business (including Tech, Analytics, Marketing, Portfolio Risk & Finance).

What we’re looking for:-

  • Someone who has previously worked in a top-tier strategy consulting or banking firm, or similar role in the finance industry.
  • A natural curiosity to spot, break down and resolve problems
  • Excellent at distilling complex information into key points, and presenting information (both written, and verbally) that is clear, succinct, well structured and engaging
  • Someone who is superbly analytical (we live and breathe data). Experience with Python is a plus
  • Resourceful and confident to gather & utilise primary and secondary research to derive data-led insights in an imperfect world (i.e. when you never have all the data you’d like, exactly as you’d like it)
  • Proven ability or demonstrable desire to implement findings of your research, we need a ‘doer’ who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across the business to see through the results of your work
  • Team player with a fine balance of confidence, gravitas, humility and enthusiasm: you will need to work with various teams to get stuff done in a rapidly growing environment where resources are continuously stretched
  • Exceptional levels of personal integrity, given you’ll be exposed to a number of commercially and strategically sensitive projects

Requirements

As a Growth Strategy Manager, you will:

  • Work within the Marketing team to solve problems, such as:-
  • How can we get the right product to the right customers, at the right time? How should we adapt our product to help deploy more capital to small businesses responsibly?
  • What is the best approach to convert leads in our marketing database?
  • How do we develop our internal analytics tools to help us understand how valuable customers should be at different parts of the funnel?
  • What is the best pricing strategy for our direct customers?
  • What should our next big bet be?
  • How much should we invest in marketing to specific verticals?
  • You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize and fine tune how we engage with customers, both those who sign up but drop out of the funnel pre-loan
  • You will leverage funnel, cohort, repayment, etc. data to identify funnel improvement and customer retention initiatives. 
  • Take responsibility for implementing and leading tests and rolling out success tests. You work closely with the Marketing Tech and Performance teams, as well as the wider business including Ops, Tech & Analytics, Lending Propositions and Risk in the process .
  • Understand strategic developments across the business and determine how they will impact marketing, and how marketing will need to adapt in order to support future strategies and help those strategies to be successful

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer and have significant exposure to senior management, as well as stakeholders from across the business (including Tech & Analytics, Product, Ops & Lending Propositions). 

Requirements

What we're looking for:-

  • Experience in a top-tier strategy consulting or banking firm, or a high growth business. 
  • A natural curiosity to spot, break down and resolve problems using primary and secondary research to drive data-driven insights in an imperfect world (ie when you never have all the data you’d like, exactly as you’d like it)
  • Proven ability in design and delivery of projects that have clear business impact and require management of multiple stakeholders
  • Driven, hard-working and uncompromising in delivering high quality work in tight timelines
  • Pragmatic with ability to figure out how to test hypotheses and learn about small businesses quickly and cheaply before launching larger campaigns or projects

We're looking for a passionate and strategic Social Impact Strategy Manager to join our team. In this newly created role, you'll support the Sustainability Transformation Director in shaping and delivering Centrica's social impact strategy. You'll lead on identifying social risks, opportunities, and impacts (IROs), ensuring our approach meets stakeholder expectations and aligns with regulatory requirements like the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Location: We work flexibly in line with our Flexible First working arrangements believing that empowered colleagues are happier and more productive. The successful candidate will, however, need to be comfortable commuting to our Windsor office regularly and also to our other locations as may be needed.

What will you do?

  • Lead the development of Centrica's social impact strategy and subject matter expertise input into our double materiality assessments.
  • li>Support delivery of ESG compliance programmes (e.g. CSRD, CSDDD).
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. People, Procurement) and external partners to identify and manage social impacts, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop strategic action plans, metrics, and targets to drive social performance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to shape group-wide social policies and governance.
  • Work closely with Issue Owners to review and enhance governance controls for material Social issues and facilitate third party external assurance.
  • Contribute to ESG reporting and ensure alignment with investor and regulatory expectations.
  • Support strategic social impact projects that benefit customers and communities.

Here's who we are looking for:

  • Strong demonstrable experience in Social Impact, ESG, or Sustainability roles with a proven track record of successful programme development and implementation.
  • Proven ability to lead programmes, manage stakeholders, and drive business change.
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement, research and insights tracking.
  • Skilled in research, data analysis, and ESG reporting.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A relevant degree (e.g. Sustainability, ESG, Social Sciences) is desirable.
