Polytec are looking for a Production Assembly Technician for our client based a few miles west of Cambridge. You will support the team building RF products. This will include assembly, sub-assembly and contributing to process and product improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Light electromechanical assembly - prep and build
* RF and electrical testing using automated test software
* Keeping schedules and work records up to date
* Some manufacture of custom parts and/or cables
* Some stock management and component kit picking
* Supporting various other tasks to improve productivity, quality and safety
Requirements:
* Able to complete assembly work to high-quality standards compliant with ISO9001
* Able to understand and follow mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams and other documentation
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively and meet deadlines both within a team and on individual tasks
The following would be beneficial:

The roles will be based from the laboratories and offices in Rotherham.
This is an immediate role and would ideally suit someone who has worked before in a scientific/clean room environment and/or been involved in the production of small parts including putting parts together and some spot soldering.
In order to carry out this role the successful applicants will have:
A background in production demonstrating a keen attention for detail and a high level of manual dexterity
Use of hand tools and, ideally, a soldering pen
Good eyesight (assisted or unassisted) and able to carry out precise/detailed work using a light microscope at times
Able to carry out tasks in a methodical manner
Self-motivated and understanding that the role is repetitive but highly important for 100% accuracy so able to maintain focus
Comfortable working on your own and as part of a successful team.
Confident in knowing when to stop a process, troubleshooting and problem solving where necessary
A good working knowledge of MS Office applications for reporting and responding.
You will be manufacturing SEM/TEM Filaments for the microscopes and the job will involve:
The production of filaments
Accurate record keeping of all process parameters used for each batch of filaments manufactured
Gaining a good understanding of the quality systems in place
Other ad hoc duties as required.
In return you will receive a salary of £26,000 per annum plus 25 days holiday, a health plan, contributory pension scheme and free parking.

The Job People are recruiting for Production Assembly Operatives based in Leamington Spa to start ASAP within the Manufacturing and Production industry.
We are ideally looking for experienced candidates, from an automotive background used to working on busy production assembly lines.
Previous Experience in the below is required:
Assembly
Production
Laser operatives
Cnc
Turret
Paint shop
Steel polishing
Welders (mig / tig)
Keen eye for detail is required, must be able to keep up with running lines speeds and have assembly experience. Some dexterity assembly is required.
The role is full time - long term and can lead to a permanent contract after a qualifying period.
Candidates must be flexible and available to work overtime, weekends or even some shift work to suit the business needs.
Shift work is paid with shift allowance each week for PM / ROTATION & NIGHTS
Plus overtime pay.
AM Shift starts at 14.45 per hour for a Production Assembly Operative.
Overtime pay 21.68 per hour
Details of a Production Assembly Operative :
- Monday to Thursday 07.00 - 16.00
- Friday 07.00 - 12.00
- 39 hours per week basic
- Must be flexible to support with overtime and additional shifts to suit business needs.
- Shifts may rotate, 2 weeks AM, 2 weeks PM
- Pay from 14.45 per hour
- Overtime paid after completion of 39 hours
- Overtime pay upto 28.90 per hour

- Brake press operator
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Previous Production / Press experience desired
- Be able to work unsupervised where required
