The Role:
- Supervising a team on a busy production line
- Ensuring that daily start up checks are done, machines are set up and ready to start at the beginning of the shift and production is maintained during the shift by monitoring & reporting Line speed, progress & downtime
- Work towards the plan provided by Planning Manager, to ensure maximum performance and minimum downtime is maintained throughout the shift
- Monitoring line speed and KPIs, Quality checks, training of production operatives
- Ensuring all relevant company procedures are adhered to & all relevant paperwork is kept up to date, recording results, supporting continuous improvement
The Person:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a production environment as a Line Supervisor / Line Leader
- Good communication skills & the ability to problem-solve and lead the team
- Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines & excellent attention to detail

We are recruiting for a Line Leaders to join our client based in Westbury, Wiltshire . With an starting hourly rate of 14.28 per hour . This will initially be a fixed term contract till the end of the year, but for the right candidate permanent opportunities could be available.
Working Hours:
(Apply online only) Monday to Friday (From November till the end of the year working hours will increase to 12 hours shifts Monday to Friday 07:00 - 19:00 or Sunday to Thursday (Apply online only))
Pay Rate:
Starting rate is 14.28ph with overtime being paid at 1.5x after 37.75 hours
During peak times this rate will increase but the increased pay rate is still TBC.
Main duties include:
- Leading your own team
- Picking and Packing Cheese into selection boxes
- Labelling
- Palletising
- Quality inspections
- De boxing
- Wrapping
- Completes accurately company paperwork as required
- Carry out training on machinery and equipment to all operatives.
- Report KPi's to supervisors and operatives
- Monitor and report daily production targets to Supervisor / Production Manager
- Completes accurately company paperwork as required.
- Undertakes work in a safe manner that does not put own or others health and safety at risk.
- Undertakes each task with due consideration to eliminate waste.
- Carry out clean as you go duties.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the factory by proposing ideas and participating in implementing actions and changes
The ideal candidate would be:

- Good communicator with your team, your supervisor and other departments entering your working area
